Doxycycl Hyclate 100mg Capsule

I just recently received the doxy-cycl hycl 100mg capsule to treat gonerrhea. I'm supposed to take it today but I cannot swallow such a huge capsule. It's a big tourquoise capsule and I have problems with swallowing capsules. Is it safe to open the capsule and stir it in apple juice? Will it upset my stomach or should I be fine?

Yes, that's fine to do, as long as your doctor approves.

The FDA lists the typical side effects for this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
