Is there any difference between this and Amoxicillin for my dog?

Although both medications have similar indications with regards to the variety of infections they treat, they are still two different types of antibiotics with different chemical structures, side effects, dosages, potency, absorption rates, etc; which all play a significant role in how well your dog may react and respond to each medication. So to answer your question, I wouldn't consider them equal for canines or humans.

Doxycycline is in a class of medications called tetracycline antibiotics.

Amoxicillin is in a class of medications called penicillin-like antibiotics.
