Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat or prevent various types of infections and generally, antibiotics are not used for such a prolonged period of time.

Improper use can lead to your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could put you at severe health risk in the future, should you contract another infection.

Side effects to it may include: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash.
