Doxycycl Hyc 100mg For Lung Infection (Top voted first)

My wife has a lingering infection in one lung. Dr. said small amount of pneumonia, prescribed 2 a day of Doxycycl 100 mg. cap. Coughing has subsided but feels weak, no pep. Is this a side effect that will leave once she has finished medication

That is actually a normal way to feel anytime you are sick or have an infection and your body is fighting it off, even if you don't take meds for it.

It should clear up as her condition does, if it doesn't, please speak to her doctor.

Take acidophilus to avoid getting a yeast infection and the runs. I am on this drug 5 days now for a sinus infection and I called my dr. to change it to something else. IMO this drug is not effective enough.

I visited the doctor for a pain in my back, I usualy get pneumonia every other year, since I know the simptoms I explainad the doctor about the pain and sweting an chills and she prescribed DOXYCYCL HCY 100MG CAP
I have been on it for five days and I don't feel any better, my pain got worst and I am a little worried,.
no swetting or chills anymore
is this the correct antibiotic?

I visited my dr. after a month of a persistent cough following a 5 day bout w/ a fever. She said walking pnuemonia & recommended Doxycycl Hyc 100mg for 10 days. I am in my 5th day & now I have pain in my lower left lung where in a check x-ray I showed infection only in my lower right. Is this the right perscription? I still don't feel any better & my cough is still very persistent.

I also was prescribed this medicine a few days ago and when i started taking it it made me feel shaky all over and a little dizzy mine is also for a infection in my left lung.

My son has been on this medicine for a few months. He has complained about dizziness, headaches, legs are like jello, and confusion. I am taking him off of it. I thought he was trying to get out of going to school, but after reading all the responses to this, I know its the medicine.
