My mother aged 87 is hypertensive and has mile heart problems. Doctor prescribed Doxolin 400mg OD for asthmatic problem.She feels terribly week and disturbed while taking it. What is the reason?

Doxolin contains the active ingredient Doxofylline, it is a bronchodilator, used to treat asthma and COPD.

All medications carry the risk of side effects, although this one is known to cause less of them than most others, especially for cardiac patients.

Drowsiness, dizziness and nausea are normal and they should eventually taper off, as she adjusts to the medication.
