I have an abscessed tooth and got an antibiotic from a feed store called Fish Pen (penicillin) 250MG. The vet said it would be fine to take it. It's an oval pill with the number 520 on it. How often, how many and how long should I take it for?

No, since it hasn't been specifically manufactured for human use, it may not be safe for you to take. The dosage can also vary, depending on the severity of the infection and your response to antibiotics, it can range from 500mgs twice daily up to 500mgs 4 times a day, sometimes even more.
Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
Additionally, whatever caused the abscess will need to be taken care by your dentist, because while an antibiotic may temporarily relieve the infection, the underlying cause will still remain, so the infection may just keep returning.
