You should take them as prescribed by your doctor. Usually, it is started at 6 pills a day, then 5 the next day, then 4, then 3 and so on.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, acne, irritability and fluid retention.
