Does Estradiol Help With Weight Loss?

I started back on .5 estradiol. I have not been on it for a year and 1/2 and I have gained a lot of weight. I started on supplements that helped me to feel better so I thought I could go off estradiol. It’s so weird cause I thought I would lose weight going off of it and I keep gaining. I eat clean, exercise daily and drink only water. I started back up yesterday so I’m hoping it will help me take some of this weight off. Has anyone heard of weight loss when on estradiol?

Are you perimenopausal, or post menopausal? If so, these conditions can cause some weight gain, regardless of what medication you take, your diet, or exercise, this is well documented in NIH studies.

It is a well known fact that most middle aged women tend to gain weight and develop a paunch in the midsection, just like many med do, and it is very hard to lose.

How old are you? Are you on any other medications?
