I have been waking up with sore throats since the past two days. It's really painfully and creates a lump in my throat which causes problems for me to swallow. But after sometime, it's perfectly fine. Taking alerid d before going to sleep will help it cure?

It really depends on what is causing the problem. This is an antihistamine that is used to treat allergic reactions, so it is only going to help, if it is an allergy that is causing the problem.
The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, drowsiness and dry mouth.
Have you consulted your doctor? This can also occur due to acid reflux, and if that is what's causing it, you'll need a different medication to help.
