Does Trigestrel Cause Vaginal Dryness

Hi I have recently started using Trigestrel and experienced severe vaginal dryness even though it's only been 5 days, and I started them on the second day of my period, which ended up lasting for two days and the other two days just spotting and no normal vaginal discharge.Is this due to Trigestrel reducing estrogen in your body thus leading to vaginal dryness? Can I stop these tablets now, what is the best alternative?

As to the dryness and changes in discharge, yes, that can be a side effect of hormonal contraceptives, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms.

However, such side effects are typically transient and will go away once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take about 3 months, or so.
