Does Tramadol Show Up As An Opiate In Drug Tests? (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I thought it was a non-narcotic pill but it gives me the same feeling as would Lortab or Codiene.

It will show up. ONLY if they test for it specifically. If this test is done for employment purposes, they most likely won't be looking for it. If this was for law enforcement or rehab purposes, than they are more likely to look in its direction. As of January 2014 it is now considered a class c narcotic.

I took three 15mg. Of morphine
Will that show up in a urin test tomorrow.
Am on norco and tramadol
But took one of my morphine pills yesterday and today. The pain was unbeable.
It was givin to me by my last pain doctor .
I go to a new doctor.

Yes your morphine will show up on your drug test but if you have a prescription just show it to whoever it is doing the testing. Morphine stays in your system for 96 hours and is tested for on all drug panels

God I know , I just did hair and urine test. Passed urine on spot but was taking tramadol 50 mg tab often in previous week's. Need this job. Will it show up as opiate ? And I doubt employer will accept this excuse. Probably say addicts choice. Lortab, or other common stereo type pain killer. Need real answer also. Does it show in hair follicle test as opiate ?

How long does it take for 2...50 mg to not be detected on a saliva test? Was 4 days today.

An opiate can be detected up to approximately 48 hours after using. So if it will be 4 days it should not be detectable in a saliva drug test.

You know on these posts we are asking advice from our peers ..Disgusted, U have no reason to put Gembo on blast like that. Thank you disgusted, for your honesty. People like that are the reason that I can't get pain meds. I'm 58, have had MS for 22 yrs., I also have degenerative disk disease in my lower back. I tried to take my own life because of the constant suffering day after day. And it's people like that, that scare our doctors, that's why they use pain contracts. I've had strangers approach me here in NH and offer to sell their food stamps at 1/2 price, to buy methamphetamine or heroin. Recently in NH a man sold Oxycontin to a young person and he took them and died. Now the pusher is doing life. I truly hope they get caught.

Yes, the Chronic pain suffers and the MS patients' are suffering to a point of suicide. I got a passport to go to switzerland. They have suicide laws related to suffering. They will have a doctor see you twice and try to help your symptoms like for instance pain, they will give you pain meds to try to make you comfortable. However if you are suffering after two appointments, you will be given the Seconal cocktail and a patient will lose consciousness in 5-10 min and pass away within 45 min. with loved ones with them at the time and in their own home. They allow us to pass away in dignity and without pain for 6,000.00; I feel for anyone with MS and Pain.

The reason I am asking this question is because I have a Severe Chronic Pain Condition that is agony to live with. Making the decision as a disabled nurse to be on Narcotic pain relief is not an easy decision to make considering 1. My body is now physically addicted 2. My pain is not controlled after years of being on Morphine SR nor with the breakthrough Medication of Percocet. Both are Narcotic however they will come out as differing meds on the test. I took 100-150 of Tramadol yesterday that were my mother's before she died 2 years ago. I would have shot myself if I had not taken the Tramadol. The body builds a tolerance to these meds and they stop working. So technically I am a felon because I took meds not prescribed for me. Not to mention how truly cruel it was to make me pee or no meds when I was having a flare up of my bladder inflammation when I can't pee. The doc could care less about you... I've been a nurse for years. The war on comfort is the problem, not all of us. At least not me... Pain is pain. Suicide from suffering is Suicide and Cruel is Cruel when my bladder hurts so bad you are going to make me pee. Now back to the answer. I told my doctor I was on marijuana. Last drug test I was positive for marijuana in texas in his office. No big deal and yet every doc that has a patient on pain meds has the DEA on their ass. So will I get more meds next month if Tramadol shows up and marijuana??? Hmmm. We will see. The DEA is wanting us to die, via suicide. We have major over population on our planet and this is one way to get rid of people. Look at your lab test they will be sending in...They will check which meds are going to checked. If you are within any of those meds you are good. If you are selling these meds please stop. Some of us will be ****ed if you hurt our pain meds. If you are taking more meds because u are hurting I am sure you are totally under medicated and that means you are not stable in your pain care and you have a messed up pain doc. Lab requests with specific meds on it will not be a panel test and if it is they will only be looking for the marked medications. However, look to see if they have marked cocaine, marijuana, ext, then you can get into trouble. Mine today had all my meds so if Tramadol is marked they will not even look for it. If it shows up as morphine or methadone I am already on a derivative and I could only pee a little so I will have to do another one. If in doubt pee very little, it will be non conclusive and you have another chance next time. Just be ready next time....

Well that all depends on the lab and whoever is testing you. Most places now in 2016-2017 that won't work because they are usually testing u to make sure you are taking it so they check the metabolism. If the oxy is not metabolized then you fail because it means u put it in the urine rather than it going through ur blood stream and getting metabolized and you urinated it out. Back when u posted this u probably could get away with it though. But your metabolism really has nothing to do with how fast it leaves your system. Oxy is water soluble and has to filter through your kidneys. Just like most drugs except marijuana that is the only one that is fat cell filtered through the liver.

This post sorta turned into a drama filled thread but I have what j think is a 10 or 12 panel drug test for color code and after the panels test they stick some kind of stick and swirl it around and look at it also. I took 3, 50mg tramadol yesterday and my color was called this morning. I'll give my experience later after drinking water and pickle juice. Wish me luck lol

I have had a hair follicle drug test and it indicated an unknown drug so it got tested further to determine what it was and its tramadol I havent ever taken tramadol so I dont understand where its come from at all but it does show apparently

Charlotte, did you get any type of printed report. I would love to see it. The lab I partner with does not test for tramadol so it would never show up. Did the test actually say there was tramadol in your hair??

I have been seeing my pain management dr for over three years now and recently had an epidural for lower back pain. This month I took a few dosages of Tramadol and now I'm worried that it will show up in my urine screening. I see my dr this week and am running low on my Norco and the Tramadol seems to be an ok substitute to get me through. I live in Texas. Does anyone know if my screening will show Tramadol specifically? Thank you.
