Does Percoset Have Sulpha In It

I am allergic to sulpha and took a mild dose of percoset and had alarming irregular heart beat....same symptom I had with other drug containing sulpha. does percoset have sulpha as an ingredient in it's makeup?

Aside from the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, the name brand Percocet contains the following inactive ingredients:

Colloidial Silicon Dioxide, Croscarmellose sodium, Crospovidone, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Povidone, Pregelatinized corn starch and Stearic Acid, as well as a coloring agent.

So, no there are no Sulfa ingredients in the name brand product. However, the ingredients could differ if the one you took was a generic.

In addition, it is always possible that the reaction you had was due to the Oxycodone in this, which is a narcotic. It has been known to cause such reactions in people that are sensitive to it and, in such cases, they usually have to stay away from using this medication.
