Does Miralax Go Bad

Today is 04/2016. Can I take MiraLAX when it expired on 11/2015? If not, how do I dispose the of contents, down the sink or the toilet?

According to the frequently asked questions on MiraLAX.com, "It is not recommended to use MiraLAX beyond the labeled expiration date.”

As to the method of disposal, you should leave it in the sealed container and dispose of it with your regular household trash.

I've never known Miralax to be a liquid so your answer isn't really an answer. Looking to find out if it's still safe to take when it expired over a year ago. Thank you,

I took some from 2014 and this 2018 and it worked just as usual. In today’s marketing craziness most expiration dates are not to keep you safe but to get you to buy more. Most preppers know this and stock up on expired meds. Of course some pills and powders really do go bad but the majority become weak. This is providing you store them in proper bottles and in a dark dry area.

Since Miralax Powder is not absorbed by our system, I think is no big deal to take it after its expiration date.

How long after the package miralax expires can you still take it they have the dates 1/18 and 2/18 please let me know on other people asking the same questions don't have a yes or no answer please let me know thanks

Thanks! I have a kit containing Gavilax that expired in 2014 and now I have decided to use it for a procedure coming up; saves me $35 not having to buy a new kit.

Penny wise but pound foolish. If you’re not entirely cleaned out doctor may not see everything. That’s why one does such a complete purge!
