My doctor gave me doxytet and didn't explain on how i should take them. He just told me they are for skin and i didn't know they are antibiotics. Plus i just stopped taking them without really finishing them and my periods are late.

Yes, antibiotics have been known to cause irregularities in the menstrual cycle. If you are on oral contraceptives, they can also reduce their efficacy at preventing pregnancy.

Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
