I have 150mg of clindamycin and I would like to start taking it again to clear up my upper respiratory infection. Would that be okay because it's a year expired?

Antibiotic therapy should be followed as directed by dentist , doctor . The course of treatment is usually defined for the patient to finish all the medication. If you are given 21 pills three times a day that is a 7 day antibiotic treatment scenario. There should be no pills left over. By not taking the full 7 day treatment , there is a possibility that the infection is not being destroyed and may re occur. Resistance to antibiotics these infections may be harder to kill off .

No, I had a tooth ache and take 2 capsules that has the expire date which I didn’t look before so, after few minute I m having a chest burn and stomach upset, vomiting and feel like m about to have serious problem and had to call the emergency

I got it for a tooth infection but didn’t use it bc I didn’t really have a tooth infection yet it was just for preventing one now my tooth is killing me and my gum is swollen. Can I still take them even though they’re 8 months old? 150mg 21 capsules for 7 days.

About a decade or two ago I read an article about stockpiles of meds that the US had left after one of the big wars. I don’t recall how many years old. With a few exceptions, they reported that the my were found to be effective past the use-by dates. There is one exception that is actually dangerous to take because of changes to the molecular structure.
