Does Carafate Affect Pristiq

I started pristiq 4 weeks ago, not very effective for depression, I take carafate for gastritis 4 times a day too-can it interfere with the antidepressant?? I am thinking it is even though I take it 1-2 hours later than pristiq-I am not responding as I normally do. Thanks, Sandy Maz

It can take as long as 6 weeks for a medication like Pristiq to reach its full effectiveness in your body, so it could be that it just hasn't reached its peak potential for you, yet.

Have you discussed it with your doctor?

There is nothing listed about their being a known problem between it and the Carafate, but you should talk to your doctor about it to be certain.
