Does Anyone Know A Pain Management Doc In Central Nj. Willing To Prescribe Norco.?

I have been been on Norco for 4 yrs and am looking for a new doctor. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2009, and am looking for a do tor who will continue with this treatment.

I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area.

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.

Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics).

Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will take it under consideration and hear you out if you approach them in this manner. I believe a lot of patients don't get the medication they need because they are approaching the doctor in such a needy way that they are being viewed as addicts or junkies and not patients. So as awkward as that may seem, it is something to consider and be made aware of.

FINDING A PAIN MANAGEMENT ON THE INTERNET IS NOT GOING TO WORK UNLESS YOU ARE IN STATE WITH DIFFERENT POLICY FROM THE REST OF USA. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A REFERRAL FROM YOUR PRIMARY PHYSICIAN AND USUALLY RECORDS, XRAY ETC. I HAVE BECOME AN EXPERT FOR I HAVE BEEN THRU THE PROCESS 4 TIMES IN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. YOU CAN ONLY DO 1 REFERRAL AT A TIME TOO. WHILE YOU WAIT TO SEE IF THEY WILL EVEN SEE YOU. IF NOT YOU HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVE ADVICE FOR ALL. YOU MUST ASK STRAIGHT OUT WHEN YOU CALL IF THEY WILL PRESCRIBE WHAT YOU ARE SEEKING FOR MANY PAIN CLINICS ARE ALTERNATIVE AND WONT EVEN PRESCRIBE OPIATES UNLESS YOU HAVE CANCER. WHICH IS STRANGE FOR I AM IN MORE PAIN NOW THAN WHEN I HAD CANCER. AND MY MOM DIED OF CANCER AND WAS NOT IN AS MUCH PAIN. WHICH I AM GRATEFUL FOR. SHE WENT FAST BUT JUST USED THAT TO SHOW THE DISCRIMINATION ON PAIN CONTROL. JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE. I WOULD LIKE TO OPEN MY OWN SITE IF I KNEW HOW. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHERE ALL THE ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE COMING FROM YOU HEAR ABOUT. IF YOU CANNOT EVEN GET MEDS FOR PAIN HOW CAN THEY BE ON THE STREETS. IT HAS TO BE COMING FROM THE INTERNET I THINK. AND THE DOCS ARE BEING BLAMED FOR THERE IS NO ONE LEFT IN MY CITY OR STATE THAT WILL PRESCRIBE THESE MEDS. ONLY PAIN MANG. BEST OF LUCK. I HATE TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS, BUT WE ALL MAY HAVE TO LOOK AT GETTING MJ CARDS. ITS SAD.
