Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin

Kay I have a stupid question if you live in Charleston WV you must know who writes medications for pain. What type of pain do you have? Is it chronic or acute. All you have to do is use a search engine and plug in pain specialist in that area. I'd try that without more information no one who is regular here will pass on a physician.

With all the recent FDA restraints and MORE on the way those who suffer intractable pain; pain that can kill in some cases (mine is one of those cases) will not just throw out names without a cause :)

Cynthia, please be aware (I am a professional nurse) that you would have already gone through endocrine diagnostics, dental referrals for those familiar with this syndrome, if you are on medications for hypertension (attempting other medications that do not cause you dry mouth), and realize that 99% of normal physicians will not give you opioids because one of the side effects is decreased saliva leading to dental erosion and other issues that most with intractable pain from other causes experience.

At the very least (and Dr. Tennant is only in clinic 8 days a month he was retired and then when a few of the top specialists died or retired I am in Texas and saw him for 5 years) will refer you perhaps to a mouth specialist and or run other diagnostics. Have you seen an endocrinologist and ruled out any underlying oral cancers?

One of the most common issues causing this syndrome (idiopathic or not) is yeast leading to non stop thrush and I am hoping you have had treatment for this as well. I have sent several from here over there but he does have 3 other physicians in the intractable pain network one of the other physicians is Dr. Hy.

Cynthia, contact Dr. F. Tennant, West Covina, CA he or one in his intractable pain network can likely if you have solid documentation see you. He has done wonderful work he has been my physician for 5 plus years until your regulations changed for out of state clients that is. I can die from Central Pain Syndrome I wish you luck.

I am in total agony with pain from Burning Mouth Syndrome, which I have had for 4 years. There is no known treatment.
I live in Santa Monica CA and am in desperate need of a doctor who can comprehend the severity of this torturous constant pain.
Can anyone direct me to a doctor who will prescribe something strong enough to allow me to bear this?
I want to die if I have to live with this any longer.
If anyone knows a compassionate doctor who is willing (not too afraid) to prescribe pain medicine that will allow me to get my life back?
I am very very grateful for any suggestions I receive. Thank you.

P450-I cannot get to Plantation-like SH need dr. closer-ie Orlando is good for me but barely since last apt there my BP went up to 180/116 from pain escalating travel in & out vehichle, then sitting in old wheelchair stabbing my butt four hours in waiting room. When saw dr. he wouldn't treat me-said need go to ER! After all that I couldn't even talk either-my friend said I was saying all kinds of things & don't recall since holding back screaming in pain & couldn't think was going insane. It was a nightmare-but didn't take enough meds so was in pain way too much & therefore just wasted that appt. But don't have enough meds to take or withdrawal sooner so Catch22 situation. Every move I make escalates pain-laying down motionless helps a lot but even that does not relieve it. I tried sending email but keep getting error for it- {edited for privacy}. Idk why the 1st part of your address is wrong??

Everyone I started a new post compassionate doctor for complex pain if anyone who is recent and in need wants to keep us recent and updated. As it stands sometimes the place you are looking for starts with conversation starter which is years old, and you have to set for recent posts.

I thought with several of us close to the edge with no physician and little back up this might make a spot to check in with one another. Debbie (Virginia), SH, and Chris for example.

Lynn, the stigma associated is for good cause. You are lucky that your life long pain was maintained with SA drugs but if you had complex and severe pain your specialist would surely have added a LA drug.

This drug does NOT on research treat severe pain, and that stigma will prevent you getting a proper pain specialist in the future; if you have history at all it will mark you an addict.

Beware.

SH then I suggest you visit Dr. Wallingford.

1. He is close.
2. Too much for a new pain client is not too much for a veteran.
3. He has extra training in rheumatology so will benefit for CFS, FM, RSD.

Need you ask for more I think not.

I checked out Dr Wallingford, Hampton. Reviews mixed, one said gives too many meds! Old rheumatology Dr. I am trying to not go far . Use medical transportation. Go to Richmond,not farther. Get back to you. Sent email to meds chat to give my email to u. Thanks

SH in today's healthcare I AM AFRAID IT WONT WORK don't get happy they just fix the issue not get you pain management.

Type in Methadone then Virginia then publica into any search you will get lists or links from that open until you get what I say.

Thanks P450! Do you mean goggle a doctor or how exactly did you get those drs names? I am computeri illiterate! Step by step. I am gonna check the Hampton Dr. I am hoping that since I have a blockage in artery, a Dr will step up and prescribe meds. Get back to you. Happy Sunday....

Anyone know a pain mgt. physician in middle Tennessee who writes methadone for pain please do not hesitate to write me back. I've been on methadone for thirity years until loosing my regular physican a couple of months ago because of the new laws.

Let me say that I am a 60 year old disabled veteran. Sure, I'm offered oxymophine 40mg twice daily plus fetynal 150mcr, etc., but methadone is very cheap and works well for me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Also, I've had 23 surgeries so this should speak for itself. Thank you

P450-still not getting how to do a search.....type drug name, then state name, then what? You keep saying webname but what is webname??? Am completely w/o sense due to condition so pls bear w/ me. I was on Oxycontin before Opana er -the longest time shown in my records from my past pm-for about 12 yrs actually because it worked like miracle for me & certainly would be ecstatic to have that relief again. If easier to be rx'd that I would certainly ask for it-but was on very hi dosage since never felt it even while opiod naïve til took a lot. That why am sure I am also fast metabolizer but cannot afford the diagnostics. Dr. Tennant showed aspects that apply to fast metabolizer such as high levels needed-I have all other records recently done for any pm but need know who still rx's since been to so many turning me away (& taking money for no treatment!). Am allergic to Exalgo (sulphites) & Morphine makes me sick, zero pain relief, headache, better off taking aspirin....Orlando very easy get to-Clearwater long trip- Still no email info, guess you either? Wish Nick (owner, administrator) would connect us- it is crucial we connect soon. Cannot type more -later will again. Keep up good work lady, I am praying for you to find your help. SH you must face the music. I sent another message earlier and am going off to fax a few physicians and follow up on my other mess. Under Odumma you cannot go to an ER and be legally treated for any CHRONIC illness and they will bill over $10,000 for an x ray and u/a and give you nothing. The blockage will not get you pain management. At best they will do surgery you will be out in 36 hours or less with nothing other then a few pills for acute pain. If you have chronic back issues and DDD and have suffered this pain for that well you know the answer.

SH, I am up to my ears and must get help soon or I'll be kicking up daisies. I am doing the same things you should do type methadone Virginia publica in any search machine and open the links it will give you the physicians or DO's in the area who have the highest prescription level through 2013 (Medicare):

Dr. Wallingford, Hampton
Dr. Decker, Richmond
Dr. Winnakur, Danville (highest)
Dr. Audet, Weyers Cave
Dr. Cyrus Bakhit, Roanoke
Dr. Don Bivins, Blacksburg


None are really writing that many prescriptions, further you next want to check if they are still in practice or if they cannot prescribe and MOST IMPORTANTlY if it is an addiction physician you do not want to go no matter what it will ruin your chances ok.
