I'm gona lose my job bcause of this bs I can't do my job without my meds. What gets me sick is these lowlives have unlimited supply. Or the people on disability who sit home n get paid for itfree housing I'm sure their drs aren't denying them.

Consider yourself lucky Clare. It's better to have a script you don't need, than to need a script you don't have. I'm across the country in NJ so I don't think the Doc Feelgood your friend told you about will help me much.I'm happy for you though.

K, I know how you feel. My plan was to substitute teach when my daughter started school full time and then start teaching full time (you need to sub first to get a ft position). This is my 3rd year on the sub list. I worked a total of 12 and a half days the first 2 years and none this school year. I can't make money and I can't fulfill my dream all because I'm underprescribed. Studies have shown that those who truly need pain meds don't get high from them when used as prescribed. They are also very unlikely to be addicted to them when they are no longer needed. The DEA seems to be willfully ignorant when if comes to this, and we suffer for it!

With all the changes in laws ect. It is very hard to find a PM Dr. that will prescribe what works best for your pain. Yeah I can google and find PM Dr's in my area however every time I go to do this after getting a federal from my primary Dr. they insist injections into my spinal cord works 98% of the time and it takes time you get three sessions of these injections then tell them that you are no better and they insist it should and refuse to prescribe narcotics.
I have had multiple car accidents with 80% being rear ended a tractor trailer accident and the latest was a bad motorcycle accident! I have digenerative disc deasease, several concusions, Broken Femor that has a titanium shaft in it from my knee to my hip, a shattered knee 45% left that has several pins and wire to hold it together to allow it to heal, C-4, C-5 & C-6 are bulging C-7 is ruptured and have nerve damage pain in my neck that shoots down my left arm my hand feels like it's asleep (a bunch of needles) terrible head aches / migraines & very hard to get out of bed in the morning.
I currently have a primary that prescribes 10 mg oxycodone which helps if I take 4-6 at one time!
This does not get me high, it allows me to get out of bed in the morning and with more through the day allows me function through out the day.

How do I find the right PM Dr that will prescribe what I need that will not give me the run around, I've already had my three injection that are allowed yearly and been through therapy.
Please help, what is it that I need to say to the PM Dr to help me with the right thing.
It is very exhausting going to a PM Dr then to find out bthey can't help me.
I am near the Kansas City, MO greater area you would think there would be some PM Dr that would help me???

Any and all advice will be very much greatly appreciated!!!

Why don't you then apply if it's that bad?
I put it off for many years, shouldn't have. I thought my back would get better, but thought wrong.

Apply for what? Who r u asking these questions to? If u talking about disability? Working people CAnnot get it. Unless they go down to makin like $900 a month or less and I don't know a single person who can support themself on that unless they r lucky enough 2 have a spouse who takes care of them..all of us aren't so fortuante to be able 2 get disability and free housing etc..

Dale, I wish I could tell you how to find a doctor that will prescribe what you really need. It sounds like what you need is 15 or 30mg roxicodone. What you're taking has most likely 325mg of acetaminophen (tylenol). It will tax your liver taking 4-6 at a time. In fact taking what you are you are you're likely to od on acetaminophen before you od on the narcotic. This is done on purpose to discorage people from taking more than the prescribed dosage. I think it's wrong for the drug companies to be forced to add ingredients that can do more harm than good as a form of control, but that's the way it is so please be careful. Make sure your doctors are doing bloodwork periodically to check your liver enzymes. If they are elevated that can be an indication your liver is struggling. As a major organ you need to be careful with your liver. Also, you should cut out all alcohol while you're taking meds with acetaminophen. Good Luck.

Try the Hospital in Centraillia WA which is about 40 miles south on Route 5 from Tacoma, they gave me Percocets for my back after I fell off a horse out there, just a typical greenhorn riding bareback and the horse bucked, I didn't start feeling anything until the next day, and they told me where to go.

yOU CAN GET DISABILITY IN ANY STATE, i GOT MINE ON THE FIRST TRY DUE TO THE FACT i HAVE A FORM OF MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY THAT IS DEGENERATIVE, AND HAVE SOME PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS AS WELL, BUT IF YIU WERE TURNED AWAY FROM DISABILITY, GET YOURSELF A DISABILITY ADVOCATE, IT MAY TAKE UP TO 2 OR 3 YEARS, BUT YOU WILL GET A RETRO ACTIVE PAY THAT WILL GO ALL THE WAY BACK TO WHEN YOU FIRST APPLIED, MY WIFE WAS AWARDED OVER & $7K FROM ALL THE BACK MONTHS SSDI DIDN'T PAY FOR AS 4 A PM DOCTOR, TRY GOOGLING PAIN MANAGEMENT IF THEY ARE NOT IN YOUR STATE THEY CAN DIRECT YOU TO OTHERS IN YOUR OWN STATE. THEY WILL TRY AND HELP YOU FIND SOMEONE YOU REALLY NEED...GOOD LUCK!!

@Lissa (post # 65) - Sorry to hear about your struggles. It sounds like you’ve tried many things and are unable to find a doctor who is able or willing to put you on a pain management regimen. Have to tried to see if your old doctor knows somebody whom they can refer you to? Are there no other physicians in their office? You might also try to see if there are pain management facilities close to you. Being that you have such extensive documentation, there should not be such problems getting treated. That sounds like negligence on their part.

I did get a payment ONCE for years of not working much and the lawyer (it took 3 years to get it) told me if I want to apply again I need 2 b working A LOT less or not at all for a while he said id need 2 be making UNDER $900 a month to be eligible again who can live on that?

I can, if your house is paid off you shouldn't have a problem, also you can do things like babysit, Ebay etc.
One question, why did you use a lawyer? all I did ws apply, they sent me to get an MRI and bam it was approved right away.

I have Health Insurance due to the auto accident that will pay for and I just need a Dr. Was willing to prescribe. They will also pay for transportation so distance is not an issue. the only thing you need to di is go to your nearset s s office, Thats what i did, might ake time, it always does, But yiu get back pay frim the day that you applied. Good luck to everyone

I cannot believe any of you actually thought someone would post their source for hard narcotics on an Internet forum. The wave of patients that doctor would see for these medications would be overwhelming and put the professional at tremendous liability. The doses and chemicals being discussed here with the exception of Vicodin and tramadol are not even prescribed by 90% of medical professionals simply because they are so addictive and so dangerous. In all honest if you have actually seen every compentant professional you can, go to Mexico and purchase it over the counter. Ship it anonymously back to a p.o. Box in the united states and stop begging the Internet to provide you with drugs.
