Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication (Page 40) (Top voted first)
UpdatedCan you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin
Guy, did you tell your dr that it was helping or did you tell your dr that it was not helping ? It sounds like you told your dr that it wasn't helping. Doctor Shopping is when you go to more than one dr for the purpose of obtaining Schedule II meds. As long as only one dr writes you pain prescriptions, you aren't Doctor Shopping. If you aren't seeing a Pain Management Dr, you need to find one. Any new dr will want to get a copy of your medical records from your current dr. Did you sign a Pain Contract with the dr that is/was giving you the Oxycodone ? If you did , you will need to ask your dr to void that contract before you accept a pain prescription from another dr. There is no guarantee that another dr will prescribe you what your other dr did or that another dr will prescribe you anything stronger.
Kathleen, did you ask you explain to your Pain Dr that you were new to the area and ask him if he could recommend a pharmacy that carried it ? You may just have to go into a pharmacy that is in your area. Some pharmacys won't fill Schedule II prescriptions for people from out of state, although some will. You may have to go to the DMV and get a new Drivers License for Florida.
Don't take Tramadol it causes arthritis. Stay will nature products!
mikelle, if you still have insurance, you need to call your insurance company and ask them for the names of pain management drs in your area that accept your insurance. If you don't have insurance, not all drs accept cash. So you just have to call the pain management drs in your area and ask if they accept self pay patients.
does anyone know of doctors that easily prescribe percocet and morphine ER in Milwaukee Wisconsin? I have neck and back pain and detox myself for the last 6 months but I have to get back on the medications and don't want to go back to my last doctor visit was a cash clinic
Hi Tamera,
Your question; "what company is reputable to order tramadol?". First thing I'd suggest is go to your insurance co website & ask there. If that doesn't work or you don't have insurance try typing "what is the best mail order pharmacy to fill my tramadol prescription?" Into my Google (or whatever Internet browser you use) search bar. Lastly, you could go to the tramadol manufacturer's website and pose your question there. It's possible you could find a manufacturer's discount coupon. Good luck!
I had the same problem and Canada refused to treat. I was always in pain. I finally went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to see a very good spine specialist and surgeon. Awesome result. He treats the problem not the symptoms. Dr Max Greig is the Surgeon!
That's right BL because I brought my records from the 2 Doctors I had-ONE in Minnesota, then when I moved to Michigan, & now we are in Chicago. The Pain mgmnt. Doctors appreciate it because they know then what has worked & what hasn't & exactly WHAT you were taking & how much. They will still do their own thing, but if you were going to a pain doc. religiously every month for a long time, this REALLY tells them alot about you! You cannot just go into a pain clinic & TELL them what works...that is just dumb & I am sure RED flags must go up!
Coral , Norco, Vicodin and Lortab are all a combination of Hyrdocodone and Acetaminophen. They come in 5 mg, 7.5 mh and 10 mg Hydrocodone and 325 mg Acetaminophen. It is difficult to find the brand name in these drugs any long. If/when someone does find the brands they are very expensive. Insurance rarely pays for these brands, but if they do they require Prior Authorization and your dr has to fill out forms and write specific things on the prescription. It is common for a dr to write Norco or Vicodin or Lortab instead of writting out the generic name, but that doesn't mean that you can get the brand name.
I have all medical records. And also a genetic blood test that Medicare ordered in a pilot program that shows I don't have a liver enzyme required to be able metabolize hydrocodone and the test actually recommended dilaudid. So the dr went with the recommended medication and it works wonders.
Medicare is trying to save hospitalizations from bad reactions to wrong medications to save money.
SHAW:
Did you ask your previous pain clinic/doctor for a referral or recommendation to a new pain clinic? Most doctors will do just that upon request.
I did and all the names he gave me were heart Drs and just random drs that have nothing to do with pain management
Shaw, Contrary to popular belief drs don't know who accepts Medicaid and who doesn't. even if they are Medicaid drs. That is why I said to call your state Medicaid program and ask for Pain Management Drs in your area that take Medicaid. Or you can just call all of the Pan Management Drs in your area and ask each of them if they accept Medicaid. There may or may not be another dr in your area that accepts Medicaid. Or if they do, they maybe accepting new patients a this time.
I am looking for a doctor in Tennessee that will write a prescription for pain meds someone close to Springfield I have severe back pain from working on the farm all my life mornings are hard I get up stiff I can't hardly bend over to hook wagon up to tractor any suggestions would be helpful
farmer, you will need a copy of your medical records to show that pain management dr that there is a medical reason for you to be prescribed pain meds. If you don't have any diagnostic test results, they will want you to get the tests done. Depending on what the tests say, the pain dr will determine how bad the pain may be and then prescribe for you.
I have medical Marijuana and it helps a lot ...relaxes my muscles and decrease my stress about co-pays since all I see is specialist which is 50 .and here in nj if u are social security they take 20% off your medical Marijuana it's awsome . I hope you find help soon .good luck
mike, are you seeing pain management dr or regular drs? Even though regular drs can write pain meds for chronic pain, most don't. especially for new patients. You need to see a pain management dr, although it is highly doubtful that you will find a pain management dr that will start you out on what you have been taking. It is also doubtful that you will find a pain management dr that will prescribe you 120 mg Oxycodone. The FDA has guidelines that say a patient shouldn't be prescribed more than 120 mg Morphine/120 mg Morphine Equivalent Daily and almost all drs are going by this now. You will have to work with a new dr and stick with them. You will also have to sign a pain contract and agree to random drug panels.
Oh P, I'm sooo sorry to hear this! WHEN is sometime gonna take responsibility for your case! I was just thinking the other day, "P must be doing well because I've not seen any postings!"
I'd give you my opioid potentiating recipe but people might freak out here so I'll skip. You can Google "opioid potentiating guide" & find a couple different ways. I mean we're talking grapefruit or grape juice and a couple otc pharmacy items. Good luck, P. Please let us know how you're doing!
P450-I am here kinda-right now able sit up but not for long. God surprised to hear from ya, really hoped you had found help. Dr. Famous may be your salvation if ya can wrangle appt. w/ him. I found a "multi-service clinic" in Orlando, FL that is giving me a minuscule amount of relief so barely avoiding withdraws but pain level unbearable - dr. not help since fear DEA even tho my last visit I was on my back entire time. He said I will not delay you so you can get home back in bed. Soooo unreal drs. can view obvious agony yet fear just wins every time. BP/heart rate at constant ER levels, BP meds not bringing it down--PAIN wont let them......At 10% of level that brings pain to level I can sit in chair & think somewhat normally not worrying of nausea with blackout from pain like am at now. My life is being shortened each day from the stress of agony. So I may be cardiac arrest or kidney failure or ........Anyhow pls hang in, idk what could help but pls lemme know if I can try and help ya. We all don't deserve this torture.
I sob when I look at what's left in my vicodin bottle. Because I know that I won't make it. I've done all the other routes, anti depressants, anti inflammatories, physical therapy, Chinese medicine, alternative medicine, meditation, diet, exercise, classes upon classes, and this is for the last 30+ years. Finally I get a doctor who treats my pain as well as my diseases and came to know what the 'peace' means. Enter the DEA. For those of you who have no clue as to what I am experiencing don't bother to respond cuz you've no idea what it is to walk in some else's shoes that's dealing with chronic pain. You're thoughts and ideas you naysayers are not welcome and wanted. I don't care what you think about me and my post. I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm venting my rage at the injustice of big brother controlling and running the quality of my life. My blood is on the DEA's hands. I hope the stain lasts forever. So it's either back to hell or lights out. I have the right to choose. Or so I thought.
