Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin

St. Louis, Mo. Was in an accident with a city bus April of 2015 and have dealt with the pain. Not sure how to go about getting the pain meds that will touch my pain. I know the Dr.s are being pressured to withhold prescribing pain meds. Can I just state my case and think that I will be properly treated?

Hi, I've been having to take pain meds for a couple of yrs. now and suddenly my "pain management" Dr. cut my monthly pres. in half. Not surviving well at all. I have too many responsibilities to be laid up bc I can't move w/out great effort. I'm in So. MS and just don't know what to do or where to go. Anyone?

Twanda , you need to see a Pain Management Doctor. They will need a copy of your medical records to prove you have a medical condition that might require pain meds. A doctor will not just go by what you say alone.

Your doctor guided you wrong, that drug usually don't help alot of ppl for pain, and is giving to get you off of pain meds, Here where I live it's junkies that's made it hard on us that truely suffer, hard to get pain meds, but that medicine is usually giving to addicts, than u can't never have pain pills here in Tennessee unless life threatening from what I see. Hope you tho can find you a pain clinic, I got off the fentynal patch n I get 4 15 mgs rocys a day nut it barely controls my pain I got alot of the same problems you do with my spine, and had took predisone, somehow my hip bone died n had hip replacement. Looks like these docs could tell who need pain meds or not, plus if u got mri's @ CT scans. But where I live a drug named ice has took over n it's hard and pain clinics want 200 dollars to be see. I CNT afford the on my sis. God bless u

What part of TN do you live in, or are you near Murfeesboro? I drive about an hour and a half to my PM doc there but it's worth it, they treat you with dignity and not like an addict. A very good practice, and NOT a pill mill. They don't tolerate any BS. Good Luck..

I can see that no one on here is near wv or has any info of a decent dr... I'm trying to not drive 3-4 hours bc my body just can't handle the ride if anyone can please help me I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks I'm not far for Tennessee and some parts of NC I'm ok with also

I know this was commended on years ago But I had to tell you I'm one of the disabled who lives in low include housing & because of the addiction awareness it doesn't matter that I have rods & screwz in my spine You think you knew so much when you wrote this & you have no idea...Official diagnosis was failed lumbar surgery l5-s1 & l4-5

I'm going through the same exact thing . I've never been in treatment but ended up on suboxone because after 15 years of percocet I thought I was doing the right thing by looking into sub & methadone. My counselor & I talked about it for a year . It's been 2 years & I see mydr every 3 months I'm on 2 mg 4 x a day & no it doesn't help even close to what I was on b4 my Dr refuses to let me take 10 mga day & that's all I really need. I can't change Dr because I cannot find another one willing to take medicare & with ssi $ I cannot afford the hundreds of dollars. Hang in there & know that someone else does totally get it.What really makes me upset is I have years of medical records & a updated MRI that's a road map and I can't get any compassion it sux!

Please, can someone tell me if there's a doctor in Wichita, KS that prescribes pain meds? I moved from texas a couple of years ago and had a doctor for ten years in texas that prescribed me norcos for a herniated t-8 and t-9. Plus i have fibrous masses on my left frontal lobe which causes severe headaches. I'm in so much pain my stomach is constantly nauseated. {edited for privacy}. Thanks and god bless.
