I am still looking myself for the same kind of doctor - any luck?
Re: Roy (# 66)
Oh no, I didn't notice that!
Thank you, that makes me feel a lot better. He was a nice person, just couldn't take it when they took his meds away.
Once again, thank you very much
Re: Smalls (# 65)
I think it could very well be the same individual because if you look at the time stamp of their message in this thread (# 2), it was from 2013, before they passed away. Sad thing regardless...
Re: MAC686 (# 2)
May I ask why you are using MAC686? The user of this tag died several years ago by suicide! You can verify this on the thread (Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication in Colorado.) He was the original opener of that thread. Several people who personally know him can confirm this. Please explain, I am really confused and upset about this!
Thank you.
New to Co. Need pain Dr. Been on McD's for 15 yrs. Anyone help me?
I'm tellin ya, if anyone is still looking, try Mountain Medical Injury (mountainmedicalinjury.com). They deal with severe pain patients AND addiction medicine. They also seem to be cool with MMJ, as long as you have your "red card". There is ALWAYS MMJ in my U/A's, and they never give me a hard time about it. They know I take CBD products. I am on 75mgs of tablet Methadone there.
I get tablet prescription methadone from my dr. at a wonderful clinc.
Rainday 63,
Unfortunately specialists have been strongly encouraged to cease prescribing methadone for chronic pain relief.Only methadone clinics are utilizing it for opiate replacement or detox purposes and NEVER in combination with a benzodiazepine class medication under any circumstances. Its becoming increasingly challenging to find any provider willing to use opiate/opioid type meds to treat chronic pain unless every other interventional technique has failed to provide measurable relief.
JASON: Who are u asking? Clicking "reply" doesn't post your comment to anyone in particular, so you have to specify. Not the best system.
Just moved back to Colorado after breaking my back and having multiple surgeries and a leg amputated. Will you please give me the information on the Dr you are speaking of.
Jason
MERCY: Try Mountain Medical. They have two different offices and a few different doctors. Dr. Wright, who was mentioned in this thread, is now their director. It is a fairly new clinic so they do not yet take insurance. ($300 the first visit, $150 thereafter).

Where and who are these guys???...just switched providers and won't Rx...wants me to go to pain specialist!...don't know of any...on soma, hydrocodone and ambien....was with Keiser...
RAINYDAY: You will most likely need to go to a methadone clinic. 99% of the doctors you call to try to get methadone will tell you to go to a clinic. They don't even want to TOUCH that stuff.
Hi, just wondering if anyone has found any Drs in Colorado Springs area who will prescribe more than 40 mg of methadone and also keep patients on their valiums too? I do have legitimate reasons and dr records and am willing to submit to drug panels.
I know this is kind of old, but Dr. Steven Wright, the best doctor EVER, has retired. He is now doing medical consulting, as well as speaking for different pharma companies, but is no longer seeing patients. :(
Can you please help me with the pain mess I can't find anyone to help
Moving from Florida to CO . HAVE FIFTEEN YEARS WORTH OF Pm doc records. PERSCRIBED NOW 50 mg. OF methadone long term and for eight mg dialysis. Will this be hard to find a PM doc to.match in CO?
I'm also looking for a pain management Dr in federal heights Colorado. I broke my back in 2002 and tore my rotator cuff last December as well as having a growth in my shoulder blade. My concern is I have been on the pain meds for 4 years and my DR just retired so I haven't had anything in a few weeks. I've been able to get them elsewhere but I'm also starting to look into other things which scares me. Anyone have any advise? I'm on Medicade but I'm seriously starting to panic because the pain is unbearable and I'm looking in places I shouldn't.
I am hoping to move to colorado and spend my last few remaing years not in miserable pain until the day I go fishing sit down at a tree and go to sleep. the end. Im flying out on the 19th of june and have and interview with a doctor. Im almost 60 been on methadone for 15 years as well as zoloft, xanax, blood thinners and a plethora of other meds the doc wants a 40 minute interview, I was an adrenaline junkie and busted my body up pretty bad since I was 5. Hockey, soccer, tap dancing, motorcycle wrecker, rock falling, tennis player, marathon runners for 10 years, more surgeries than I can remember, and the docs want to replace my , hips, right knee etc.........
Legitanddesperate why not just move to Co its beautiful. Among other things. The options. For pain control are many however I don't think all pm docs are going to let you do both. I do know that if I a person. Has insurance then insurance. Will only pay for a u/a once a year
Sara do try calling CPR have you found. A dr to help you yet?
