I wondered that too. I found that after detox, the oxy and morphine were causing me pain in weird places. Those place no longer hurt...just everything else lol.

Hi my name is Sara I have been in and out of hospital for the last 15 years several surgeries almost lost leg due to pyrodermgangriosm. I am only 32 I have been on morphine 60 mil twice a day now my doc just downtown want to deal with the issue because I now have Medicare she is finding any an all reasons to stop my meds without any thing just cold Turkey I am so terrified. Please any help with finding new doc I have sweet syndrome lupus and many other issues I see many specialists but have a terrible primary

Sara try Colorado Pain Relief in Wheat Ridge. I know it's expensive but the pain control and understanding without judgment really is worth the money.... That's my best advice. I really think they would be understanding with you.

I am a 30 year old female with arthritis in hips and back and disc deg disease and 4 discs that are no longer there and looking for either a good PCP or pain doc. I live in Leadville, Co and am willing to travel to Denver if need to but dont want to make a trip for nothing. Can anyone give me any suggestions. Also have medicaid so would prefer if the doc accepted it. Thanx.

Good luck I can't even get my methadone treatment. Here just moved and they told me I wasn't important. Cause I been on it 5 years so I guess I have to go back to the streets now

Does the Dr referenced see legit out of state people? My husband was kicked off pain management in Indiana for smoking marijuana! Since it is legal there I wouldn't think that would represent a problem there??? Any info would be greatly appreciated! He has a broken neck and back and severe nerve damage along with severe PTSD. Have all records to prove need for pain management

Marijuana isn't accepted by pain doctors here, either medical or recreational are both legal in Colorado. Because it still isn't legal at Fed level, docs without special med marijuana licenses can't prescribe or recommend it. Docs will also drop patients for marijuana use. Know docs who got in BIG trouble over this. Feds have come down hard on this and pain meds in general in CO.
