Doctors That Prescribe Methadone In New Jersey

I live in south jersey, I have been on methadone for almost two years and want to get off of it. I go to a doctor in Brooklynn N.Y, and it's exspensive as well as a long day of travel, gas, tolls, etc... I am also on Medicaid and No one honors this insurance. I need any help or info where to go for help in Jersey. All these doctors have no problem getting you hooked on this stuff but get you off of it?-forget it, everyone plays dumb or we don't do that. PLEASE HELP.

Go to NY medicaid and get on a program for no cash. Go to mine, 804 east 138th st, be ny. I've been on for 51 years.

I live in bk and you will save my life if u can help me with that doctor's information. I need methadone pills and without being on pain management for a long time it's impossible to get them. I need to detox and close the chapter for good, and from my experience all I need is a few days worth of tapering pills (not liquid) and that's all we need to make the first step.

Your going to have to make an appointment for some awful pain, like 10 out of 10, can't sleep, awful. Then they will do diagnostics, x-ray/mri/scans everything. I've heard MRI's pick up some of the most miniscule/little incidents of trauma over the years and it can be seen. obviously the dr is going to base his decision on this, how your presenting (if your saying 10 out of 10 pain you should NOT be sitting still cracking jokes talking about anything except your pain. , your should be squirming to try to get comfortable, regularly changing the way you sit/stand)

ARS clinic in turnersville NJ. They have evening hours also 6pm to 11pm but I think they are phasing evenings out now.

No they don’t care about it. I smoked the whole time, then got on the medical cannabis program. But even if you're not a medical patient they usually don’t care.

Now that marijuana is legal for recreational use in the state of New Jersey, do methadone clinics test for it or penalize you for coming up positive?

are you taking methadone for pain? I've found it very helpful for pain. If the pain of mine were to go away, I'd be dead. I've accepted that I have to live with a certain amount of pain, but it wavers through the cycle of each pill so y ou have to go with the flow. I just have to find a pain doc. now in NYC. I just lost mine. pcw

Hi please whoever named that dr Sharma i think. Id like to know more. I lost a leg. And im only 38. I have terrible pain with a prosthetic. I dont know what to do. I live in south Jersey. And im on a methadone clinic but id rather do pain management becauae of the loss of leg comes with more pain then what just methadone does and will ever do. Please someone give me some help. I mean i have insurance and in 2018. There has to be something better.

You don't need a doctor referral to go into the hospital or in-patient pain mgt., I don't think. Try St. Lukes.
