Doctors Taking Opiates From Veterans

I'm a vet and have been on opiates for 15yrs. The reg. meds I'm on have been working for 7 yrs with no changes (90 mg sr morphine + 8 of 5/325 oxys + 3 59mg tramadol + gabapentin). The Va took 90 mg, a whole midday dose and all my tramadol in 1 month. Oh ya, and my .05mg xanax too. Now they wanna use 7.5 mg ir morphine instead of all my percocet. Help me. We vets have to go through a pain clinic now at the Va. All it is, is a doctor taking everything from me. WHAT CAN I DO OR SAY? IM IN PAIN WITH NERVE PAIN.

Hey, went through the same thing at the va. I went through the choice program and see a real pain management doctor in the civilian sector. Pain in the ass to get approved but it is possible. Write your congressman if you are not seeing progress! Trust me your congressman can always help with the va.

We need help. Our rights are being stepped on. I understand there is a problem but don't hurt the ppl that truly need these meds for our quality of life. We need help & we need our voices heard.
