Doctor's Near Traverse City, Mi. That Will Prescribe Methadone Or Other Narcotics For Pain

Was in rehab in the past under court order so finding a Dr. that will give narcotics for my pain has been close to impossible. Want to get pain meds from Dr. not from street. Anyone know a doctor who is sympathetic to chronic pain patients around Traverse City, MI. area?

You might want to contact a lawyer to see if your states reports people who have been in rehab by the state and if people are flagged and how a doctor would get that information. Sometimes this information is not shared between agency's. For example I don't know how your doctor would know unless you are flagged by your state monitoring program. However when you see a new doctor they will ask you to sign a pain contract before getting opiates medication and if he finds out you lied you could be dropped and that would end up in your medical records. Rehab or not if you are pain you deserve to be treated. You may do best to find a pain specialist who does not center on decreasing or stopping your pain by using opiate medication but favors other modalities instead. It is also important that you find other ways in treating your pain if possible because the last thing you need is to end up in the same place you were before. Keep a open mind with what treatment are being offered and good luck.
