Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 36) (Top voted first)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Hi. How are you? I was wondering if you could possibly find it in your heart to help me... I am a single mother of 3 and my doctor says he is no longer prescribing pain meds. Because of DEA or something. But I need a doctor badly. I really need to get my methadone back. It's very hard taking care of 3 kids with so many breaks as well as a pinched sciatica nerve. But I have had my tailbone broken, 2 ribs, the whole right side of my face was crushed when punched in the face by and being hit several times with a pistol in the head when I was raped at gunpoint. I am sorry to hear this about your doctor doing such a thing to you. I have had a VERY similar experience and want to know if we possibly have the same doctor..... May I ask who your doctor is?

I so feel your pain. I called over 100 doctors in SE Michigan to see is any psych dr who would write me an rx monthly for MMT- it is so much cheaper than clinic. I found NONE. They do not want to be responsible, but all these pain clinic croakers give patients methadone for pain. WRONG- these are the people who are dying. They don't seem to understand what a dangerous drug it is, especially in the wrong hands. 50 mgs will kill an adult with no tolerance. I've been on MMT for 20 years, so I go once a month to my clinic- 2 miles away from my home! That has only happened 1 other time, where I could walk to my clinic. It is awesome, but expensive. I spend almost 5 grand yearly on my medicine. If a dr wrote, it would be under $500 bux annually. Unfortunately, Medicare won't pick up the tab.

Can you please give me your Doctor's name if he is in Oakland or Mocomb county Mich. I was in a bad car accident n morphine doesn't work anymore. I HAVE been on it before.

@NANA2SPA, I am near Lansing, and hoping you can help me please!!! I desperately need a doctor to prescribe methadone to me. I, like so many others, have been suffering during this opiate crisis and I am a chronic pain patient with a brain tumor, rheumatoid arthritis and several other conditions that make it hard to even get out of bed in the morning. I have taken numerous other opiate medications throughout the last 15 years and my regular doctor just up and left me last year. I did find another doctor in April, but she is two hours away (one way) and I am hearing that she may be closing down as soon as next week (!!) due to the DEA crackdown on so many doctors! I am really needing help ASAP Please help me, from the bottom of my heart, I really need some guidance and it would be such a blessing to have someone close to my hometown area. Thanks for reading.

This message is for all chronic pain people in or near Bay city,Mi .There is a Dr. ZAZA in Bay City while the office will tell you he does not do methadone when you talk to him and tell him it works best for you will give it to you but only 60m a day but its something. You have to have all records from your other Dr.s and you have to have an EKG done by a heart Dr. so he knows Methadone hasn't effected your heart. He is a very kind man.

I am currently seeing a doctor a methadone Treatment Center. I am 28 weeks pregnant and they cut my dose in half. I need to see a doctor immediately who specializes in methadone because if I don't I am going to lose my baby because I am so sick everyday that need to use opiates in order to not go through I withdraw that would kill my baby.

Omg why did they cut your dose? Thats not good. They should know this. You need to contact someone high up there cuz if you're withdrawing at all then the baby is also and its worse like you said it could kill the baby..this is ridiculous. Maybe go to the ER . go to a new clinic if you can. Where are you? File a grievance at your clinic but please find a new one and go to ER i know alot dont help with methadone but being pregnant they should. Good luck sweety.

This dr prescibes methadone? I was in pain meds for 23 years then my dr in taylor closed with no warning after 8 years of being his paitent made his paitents stop cold turkey and says he lost my records so no new dr would take me. I have chronic pain and had to start going to a methadone clinic as an addict but im really there cuz i need something for pain and so im not sick from withdraw but i would rather find a dr that can give me methadone monthly or some other pain meds but i hear if you've been at a methadone clinic regular drs wont help you for pain ever again. Sorry this was long. Do you know he gives methadone?

I am also on time released Morphine Sulfate or Fentanyl. I am suffering from end stage liver disease and need pain relief. I was cut off COLD after my doctor announced his retirement during my appt. Royal Oak, Southfield or surrounding area. If I hear first I will post back. Gods speed.

sorry no such thing these days all they want is to give you is steriod shots which do nothing and tell you your must be all in your head. I wish they could have my pain for a couple of weeks then see what they say.
