I am 50 and work a hard labor job for 25 years. I am in chronic pain constantly. I want a better quality of life and to continue to work. I need a Doctor in Orange County, CA that can prescribe Norco for my pain.

The main issue here may be due to the fact that you're asking for/looking for, a specific pain medication, especially one that contains a narcotic. Many doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior, it is something they are taught to watch out for in new patients.
The best thing you can do is to see a new doctor and make sure that they receive a full copy of your medical records, so your records can speak for themselves. A doctor will be more likely to follow the information and prescribing practices of their fellow physicians.
Does anyone know a good doctor in the area?

Look up the ‘intractable pain patients handbook for survival‘. The advice should help and gives advice about finding a dr etc and other nonopiate supplements that help as well. Hth!

Jeff I see a dr in pamona area for my pain meds. Also there are three others that treat intractable pain in that area. DR. Forest Tennant is in west covina and Dr. Hy is in Rowland Hieghts and there is two more in Pomona. They all work as a group to help people. Try one of these drs. they are good people.

Jeff-if you're willing to drive to Vista, Dr. Brown is a good guy. Retired and only works certain days, so might take a month to see. Pain contract required! 760-631-5000 is the general number for appts. Good luck!

Best Dr. is here on the westside of L.A., actually in culver city. name is Dr. Michael Tolwin, he will help you with whever you need, throughly explain your fears, doubts and behavior, and tell him what has worked for you in the past! Great doctor worth the drive will give 2 refills usually.

Jeff, of course you're looking for a specific pain med. This is what works for you, why change it? I got lucky and and my new doctor said "One look at you and a normal person can see you're in pain." (ugly arthritis)
I have information about a doctor in San Diego that I will post here sometime today. He is a pain patient's advocate and perhaps you get some help.
I couldn't mind my own business when I saw your post. I wish you the best of luck, look for the post later today.

UCI Pain Management. I had four back surgeries and receive dilauded and Morphine. However, I have a heavily documented medical condition.

THERE ARE 30-50 BOARD CERTIFIED PAIN DOCS IN ORANGE COUNTY, MOST OF WHOM I WORK WITH AND A PERFECTLY COMPETENT. NORCO IS ONE OF THE MEDS THAT MOST PAIN DOCS ARE WILLING TO PRESCRIBE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. BE HONEST, BRING RECORDS, ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT. DR. TIM.

I really doubt you'll find a dr. that will prescribe 8 a day. I was taking 6 a day for years, and they decided I only need 4 a day.. I found that to be the number all doctors find acceptable.... #120 month
