Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication In Ohio
UpdatedDoes anyone know of a good PCP in the Columbus Ohio area willing to prescribe Norcos for pain of the middle to lower back? Please let me know as I am in a bit of pain and just moved to the area. Thanks.
Hi James,
I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area.
All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:
{link removed because site no longer exists}
You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:
wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist
Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.
I hope this info helps and wish you good luck on finding the right doctor!

Does anyone know of any good pain docotrs in ohio? Cincinnati or even up by columbus. I have been to two pain doctors and they have retired now and i have to find a doctor. I want to find a dr that will write anything and who is laid back. I am on roxy 30's 5/day, for my back. I have herniated discs and nerve damage in both legs from car accidents. Does anyone know of any doctors out here in ohio? Any suggestions would be appreciated! thank you.
I've written my story. Awhile ago. I'm Karen & the pain from this lower back & sciatic nerve have about pushed me over the edge. It seems as if we who need help , medication wise. No more shots for me. Did that 2 yrs. ago & that was the worst. Plus the meds that don't work on pain made me so sick I thought I really was going crazy. Couldn't & still sometimes can't even do the simple things I've always been out. & about. But now I'm lucky 2 shower & get a few things done. This of courses causes a deeper depression. That amitriptaline was bad.plus the gabapenton then the lyrica & wow watch out if any one tries a drug called savilla ! When I wrote in last I had been up for days just tying 2 find some relief. I wrote before how hard all this was & then having 2 deal with the loss of both my parents last yr. I truly want to get back out & lead a real life . I'm not a druggie, I'm in pain. cant seem to find any help for medications I Iive in the columbus area. Reynoldsburg , pickerington area. I if any one can help I thank you.
I see Dr Ratliff Livingston lockbourne he's taking meds away. I have muscular dystrophy and was on pain meds 4 times a day now 2 a day and soon that will be gone. Weird things going on in his office.
Need doctor in or close to cuyahoga falls Ohio willing to prescribe morphine for back pain n dilauded for migraines. I currently suffer n the pain is making me mean I may hurt someone. stupid f***ing DEA cannot do their job only because I'm too f***ing lazy so you take away our pain medication I'm sitting here in pain until it dries us out of our minds and when we're done destroying the walls I guess we're on the destroying other things thank you.
you sound like me. You have to complain to your state representative. Not does it do any good but the more complaints they get the more new laws will pass so it's easier for people who are in constant pain get the pain medication they need. The idea behind withdrawn or taken away pain medication from people who suffer chronic pain is that now hold on to your hat here the true addict this is a quote be true addicts will turn to street H like there's any other thing, will start using H and then freaking catch him and put him away. avoid Dr sable. who is known to give fudge drunk panels to make them show a patient is taking illegal drugs. This is to throw off DEA the monster has it been that happen in his office. I definitely understand when you say you're about to hurt someone. However I believe that is what the government wants. We have politicians practicing medicine without a license. The other thing people need to start doing it is petitions flooding your representative office with multiple petitions. The more you bother your state representative and government more there a app to ease up on their stupidity. if you have Medicare you will be hard pressed to find a pain management Dr /center to treat you. If you do fine a doctor in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio who prescribe pain meds accordingly that is for people who suffer truly from pain please post. It is extremely difficult for people on Medicare and people who do not have transportation to get to reputable pain management centers. What I mean by reputable is doctors who actually will treat your pain and not treat you like a felon.
Where you ever able to get the help you were looking for?
What is this? Phoneconsultation.com. I don't believe it....is it true? Has anyone used this service?
Pain pumps... know this...leads break. Batteries need changed at LEAST every 5 years. Many surgeries. You need fat on you. It goes beneath fat or it comes thru the skin!!! I don't have fat and also can't do surgeries because of allergies to antibiotics and hospitals are FULL of germs/post op infections. I'd die. I went to Cleveland clinic...I would only trust them. One doctor in Col. told me he got a partner (this doc retired) and said he was going to change a battery instead of the unit...he said 'let me know so I can leave the op room as it will explode!!!' Stupid doc.
Medical marijuana is coming to Ohio. How to pay for it is the problem. Till the Fed govt gets on board insurance companies won't pay....so...? forget Columbus I can tell you that. I don't know about doc below...I heard theres a dirty clinic on james rd but don't know personally...but the dea is reading this too you know....that's why you don't see responses. God bless.
Speaking of petitions.. There are some on change.org and moveon.org.. THERE IS ONE PETITION FOR A REVISION OF THE PILL MILL LAW HB1 in kentucky.. Not all petitions are state only... But if any of us can help get laws revised and passed in any states, it will set a precedent and likely all States will follow... They followed when passing the laws restricting prescribing for chronic pain..
Try doctor gordon korby who is a pain doctor in columbus at 1021 county club rd suite b. He writes 240 30s and oxys to every patient even if your ass hurts. 614-762-7312 pill mill for sure.

I'm a 47 year old male with history of bladder cancer and triple bypass. Had heart surgery with metal titanium in my chest cavity and chronic pain. I'm having problems finding a doctor in Cincinnati Ohio who will prescribe pain medication without putting me in the class of a drug addict. Last doctor tried giving me depression meds, I mean really wtf. Then politicians wonder why there is such epidemic of opiate abuse. It's sad that a person who really needs pain meds cannot get them. If anyone knows of a doctor in Cincinnati Ohio please help... My email is {edited for privacy}
I live in central Ohio, centerburg area, I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, osteo arthritis, and ra, three herniated disk, and degenerative disc disease, and a joint disease, I am 42 and I just want to put a bullet in my head because of the pain, I have been to internist, family Doctor, pain clinic and management, neurologist, ra doc, was on oxy 30 amongst other things, felt human for the first time in years, then docs took me off all meds thinking I was addicted, wasn't never have had withdrawals , of course that is now in my file which is untrue. So I haven't been to a doctor in two years, I lay in bed a shell of who I was and can't get a damn doctor to listen or help me, I'm now a failure of a mother and wife because walking is a challenge, anyone know of a good doctor, even willing to drive to Columbus

I suffer from chronic pain from Lupus and I am trying to find a doctor who will prescribe my pain medication for me. My current doctor got in trouble & forced me into withdrawal. I was on Percocet so something similar would be great if possible. I'm currently located in Columbus Ohio. If anyone knows of any good doctors or pain management that actually care & listen to someone with real pain around this area it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Re: JMCOmega (# 139)
Old post but still wanted to say I believe you. He tends to assault in some fashion or another. He sexually assaulted me. I felt numb, dirty & broken, and like so many survivors often do, I felt responsible. I would like to add that it most definitely wasn't his first time either as he was very very clever in tricking me to believe he was just going to "adjust" my hips. I said something to him immediately & he stormed out of the room. Of course I never went back after that. The pain & withdrawal I experienced were nothing compared to the emotional trauma. I have a very hard time believing that myself & another woman were his only 2 victims (I hate that word!!), yet people get on here and speak of him as if he is some kind of god. It makes me wonder why is this man so revered. I feel sorry for Michigan. He's a sick man & I believe he'll continue his perverted path of destruction. Too bad you didn't beat his @$$ when he threw you up against the wall!
Re: JMCOmega (# 139)

Re: dismissed patient (# 16)

Re: Herman (# 66)
I saw Korby in 2002 after being hit by a car. He immediately put me on OxyContin 80 mg, four times a day. I have literally no memory of the next six months. Finally, my wife and I went to see him about lowering the dosage. He became verbally abusive to both of us and finally told us to "get the f*** out of his office". We got up and I went to pick up my chart and he attacked me. He had me up against the wall with his hands around my throat. I finally got him off me and demanded they call the police. I had an opportunity to pursue this legally but my life was already upside down due to this injury. I did file a complaint with Workers Compensation. This man is a quack. My wife and I actually went out to celebrate when we heard thru my current Dr. that he surrendered his license. He is a disgrace to the medical profession. I see all these people on here who praise him and I can't believe it. I suspect that's because he was willing to prescribe narcotics like candy. Judging by other posts, this man, in addition to being a quack, is a sexual predator and deserves to be behind bars.
Yes I'm looking for a pain doctor in Dayton Ohio can anybody help me please
Dr.Deshpande has been my doctor for many years. I started out with going through at least 20 different pain pills to injections. Later I got a pain pump. It changed my life. He is not a doctor to just give all kinds of meds. He cares about his patients by taking a more aggressive treatment route instead of getting them hooked on pills. Down side of his office is a lot of the staff is very unfriendly and there is always new people in the front office. If I didn't owe him big time for my pain pump I would have left by now. He has a new office and he is very busy. You wait for him up to an hour. Very very busy. He will get you some pain relief though and I trust HIM 100% with my treatment!
Dr. Robert Perkins . His main office is in Riverside Methodist Hospital.
