Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication In Las Vegas Nv (Page 14)
UpdatedI have mouth cancer that is very painfull and have been taking opioids/pain meds for many years. My tolerance is extremely high, so to have the meds actually work on the pain i'm needing a lot more than most. Just a guide of what i thank would help me and my history with pain meds: About 360 roxys 30mg, 180-240 lortabs 10mg, 90 morphine er mg, 150 xanax 2mgs, and 180 somas, which is not a lot to me. Is there any Dr. in las vegas, NV willing to write like this any more? #CANCER PAIN IN VEGAS
Re: David Pain (# 242)
Try dr anne kristensen. She is a gp. But will write pain pills for special cases. She is awesome. She will also help ypu find a pain mgmt doc if needed
Re: Ryan (# 1)
Hey Ryan. My name is Nikko. I currently am moving out to Las Vegas, NV within two weeks and ever since that horrible shooting in Vegas I'm on my way down there to locate my daughter. I'm a retired marine and I don't want to deal with any VA and want nothing to do with VA's, so if you can give me a heads up on a great pain doctor I'd greatly appreciate it.
Re: Gina (# 261)
She is my doctor and does write my scripts for the pain pills, the problem i am having is the pharmacy has stated they will no longer fill these scripts unless they are written by a pain management doctor. So, i am trying to find a pharmacy that will just fill the scripts and not give me a hard time. It is stupid that a pharmacy can essentially revoke a doctors DEA license.
Pharmacists can only refuse to fill a valid prescription if there is a serious medication interaction. Or they truly believe that filling the script would cause the customer serious harm. Yet, this same pharmacy has filled these exact scripts for 5 years with no changes in quantity or dosage....so obviously, they can't claim the fear of serious harm. All of this crap we are being put thru is ridiculous. I don't like being forced to go to a pain mgmt doctor when my scripts and my pain pill regiment is working fine and i am functioning better now than anytime since before my last surgery in 2010.
On top of all the stupid requirements on who it is that writes the scripts etc, the pharmacy and the pain mgmt doctors are all saying the same lies. "The CDC and DEA have new guidelines and limit the quantity and dosage patients can be prescribed. DR K referred me to 1 pain mgmt doc and he told me that i would go down to 90 mg a day total and no more and then told me its the law"
1. CDC IS NOT A LEGISLATIVE BODY
2. CDC CAN'T WRITE LAWS
3. CDC CAN'T ENFORCE LAWS
4. WHAT THE CDC WROTE WAS A GUIDELINE, AND NEVER MEANT TO BE APPLIED TO CHRONIC PAIN
5. DEA IS NOT A LEGISLATIVE BODY
6. DEA CANNOT WRITE LAWS
7. THERE ARE NO LAWS LIMITING THE QUANTITY NOR DOSAGE A DOCTOR CAN WRITE
SO, THEY ARE ALL LYING AND TREATING US LIKE WE ARE STUPID.
Every time i am told something about my VALID PRESCRIPTIONS, I FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE PHARMACY....there is a website that you can go to and file the complaint in 1 place and it will be investigated. The only way we are going to get the pain medication most of us need is to not take their crap, not accept their lies, and take action when they fabricate laws and rules etc.
Re: Gina (# 258)
Thanks for this info. So what can we really do about this?
Re: Sandie (# 264)
I will file complaints, look for a new pharmacy etc. Write Debra Houry with the CDC...she has a hand in writing the damned guidelines that have all tue pharmacies and doctors freaking out. Bombard her with letter after letter informing her of the ramifications of her stupid guidelines, and if enough of us semdbher letters, she may finally understand what us true chronic pain sufferers are going thru and the damage she has done,
If you are disabled, you can file a complaint against the doctor or pharmacy that arent helping you. Technically, they are violatingbour constitutional rights under the constitution as well as violating the ADA...americans disability act, which protect us from being treated differently because we have a physical disability, amlnd their actions, or lack of action has stolen your quality of life because you cant get adequate pain relief
You are physiologically in need of the rx. Your brain and body are so tolerant, immune & used to the narcotics that they are sending pain signals when the meds start to where off. If you don't stop taking or alter the amount downward, you will soon have huge problems; your withdrawals if you try to go one day without them will be 10X worse than your current pain level. You will think you are in pain but actually it's withdrawals. You should seek professional help before stopping or lowering any rx. No Dr in LV will fill that rx, nor should they.
Re: Gina (# 263)
Smith's is good for all kinds of rx.
Doctor wants to cut my mophrine Ive had back surgery, replaced hip and neck surgery and two replaced kness, now he says 100 mg of morphine twice a day is to much since my breakthrough meds percocet have morphine in them also. Is this true. I dont know how Im gonna be able to walk or anything else oh he wants to cut me down to 60mg of morphine twice a day
Re: Gina (# 265)
I just walked out of the pain Dr's office here in Kingman Arizona and it was my husbands appt at the same Dr I see and as always he was telling us more stories about people and their opiates n such and my mouth just dropped at what he was saying and he told me to shut my mouth and I have never been so disrespected in my life, if everyone with a disability files claims with the disabilities agency we will get somewhere with this mess that the Cdc has created for all of us, he also told us that pretty soon no one will be able to get opiates for longer than 90 days period. What in the hell is going on? Well I am going to find another Dr and I am going to file with the disabilities act on Monday morning. Gina what state are you in?

Re: Paininvegas (# 223)
I am in the same situation, have you had any luck? Been in PM for 5 years, dropped like nothing. With my current dose age of meds most Drs here won’t even talk to me! ive talked to at least 5 pain clinics that all told me no way would they even take me on as a patient, JUST because the dose I’m on. Oxy 30mg 4xday Morphine ER 60 2Xday
Since you have cancer there isn’t a doctor anywhere who wouldn’t treat you.. I’m sure you must have Medical records so why are you having problems.. Even with the new suggestions have nothing to do with you since you have cancer. Just find a doctor and go in with your medical history
Re: Cindy W. (# 10)

Re: Buddy (# 7)
Hey buddy did you find a pain management dr in las vegas. Im looking for one.
Re: Buddy (# 7)
I found that Sams Club is the cheapest for prescriptions without insurance. You do not need to be a member to use the pharmacy.
I need a doctor in Las Vegas, NV who can treat my pain and ADHD. I'm on adderall and it makes me miserable. I don't know if I'm feeling tired from Fybromyalgia and arthritis or if the adderall is zapping me, but it's bad. I need nerve blocks and any kind of inj. to stop the pain, so I won't need pain meds.
Re: Whatnowvegas (# 271)

Re: Rachel (# 106)

Re: Kealani (# 115)
Hey his number doesn't work, do u know how to reach him ?
Re: Jan (# 25)
Hi Jan, how are you doing? The paths that led us here may be different but at the end of this addiction journey, we will share the same story! Imo (in my opinion), you are very much addicted to your medication. Reason being, you are repeating the same behavior (this time it's 3 days with an extra pill) that got you terminated from your last physician! Wow, reading the numerous posts and now my reply to you, this sounds as if we're speaking of a job or sumn lol....anywho, an agreement is binding, and I don't know if you signed a contract with this physician, but if you did and it states that you are to take ONLY as prescribed, then you already know that's grounds for dismissal! Please do what you're supposed to do because otherwise you'll find yourself in the same position, yet you're expecting this physician to show you empathy but he will NOT! You never know when there will be a surprise pill count and you're already off target. Come on sister! This is EXACTLY the behavior they're expecting! This is their job- to sort of the addicts from the legitimate pain patient, because believe it or not, there are millions of people still receiving adequate pain relief with no changes to their meds. However, if you're meds and/or dosages have changed, then chances are they suspect you of being addicted to them and will find any reason to get rid of you.....yep, it's just the way it is now!
And please DO NOT get upset with my perspective on this and the voicing of my concern, because I sincerely empathize with all of us because despite our paths, our journeys are the same; it's a struggle whether you build a tolerance, become physically dependent, or become addicted to narcotics, thus, there is NO measurement regarding which of the three is more worse than the other! So, I'm here to offer support from one caring person to another; whether it's accepted or not because I get it and since I do, I am obligated to give what I have- empathy and compassion!
