Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 45)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Just let cpr know what has worked and what hasn't then if there is one that you want to try also. They will work with you. They are great at listening and trying with you. Good luck and they see a lot of people everywhere even from different states.

Tylenol is useless to me. You might explore Fiorinal-3. It is Aspirin, Caffiene, Buterol and Codiene. I use it for breakthrough on top of Morphine Sulfate. I have found that all of the Tylenol based meds are useless.

Im completely dumb founded wendy with ur appt...im nt undersng Cuz I never had a problem or any issuses with dr ryan never failed ANY UA always told sr ryan everythin never ask 2 fill ir pick up early..I go see Theresa its I cant see u anymore I cant do meds dr ryan was doin she dnt believe in pain meds or pain management I need 2 find a new PCP she called me a addict and didnt even review my chart as 2 why im there

She is the sweetest Doctor I've seen in a long time .I was ready for we're sorry we can only pass you along speech .She was down to earth ask me how she can make my life more livable .We were there talking to her for a good hour .I have Arnold Chari 2 brain in spinal colom hydrocephalus /water on brain have shunt in head to drain .Brain tumor frontal lobes, .6 brain surguries .There is no cure .Pain management offers lumbar puncher if I did that it pull my brain the rest of the way down and kill me instantly .My only option is medicine and she understands I'm not drug seeking I'm trying to get up every day and live .I was given six months to live 20 yrs ago .I went blind completely .Im great full god allowed me a second chance at life.Im a walking medical miracle .Now that I lived all of the doctors couldn't figure out how or what to do with me except keep my pain levels down. In your case I can't explain why she didn't help you .The clinic does turn down people .I don't know your history or your meds your on to tell you why or why not .I do know she doesn't believe in over medicating ,or taking heavy narcotics when Vicodin can be taken as well .Rainbow I've been turned down and watch a fake as addict get anything they wanted .Sometimes it's just not a good fit.I was off my OxyContin for a week .Withdrawls from that are horrible .Medicade is sending me every doctor that takes medicade in the Denver metro area I'll post ASAP .Yes I have all my meds .

Rainbow maybe patients complained about her and she finally got told to keep dr ryan's patients on what he had them on. Maybe try calling and see if anything has changed. The only thing I can think of.

I'm truly sorry ,that youwere not able to get help anymore there .My appt was great .We address all my medical issues .Im back on my medicine feeling function able again .

OMGosh yes. I'm 36 and I look 25ish. I was diagnosed at 32. He is so nice so caring. He works with a very very close family member too...she is a handful and he's been amazing with her.
He was referred to me by someone very close to him so that's why I'm anon...I only want honestly sick people going to him. I've been his patient for a few years now. His nurse is amazing too. If the front desk gives you trouble post here, where there is a will there is a way, and we'll see what we can do to get you help.
Google him, it's impressive, but what's more is that he had dealt with chronic pain. Even had a bowel obstruction surgery while on vacation and I know the surgeon. Small big world.

Thanks tammy I have called kasier n I have a appt then they wil let me no if I can see dr ryan as of rite now all is lookin good also kaiser called tha office were Theresa wks n they dnt understand either why I got let go or wat happen either

I have the same exact problems but i find it hard to believe there is a Dr out there that will give you anything you want when most of them cut you off your meds or tapper you down.

There aren't or if they r still in business they won't b for long! Your best bet is to find a reliable, good pain doc and follow exactly what he says! Most of the folks on this thread are true pain patients with real issues! Unfortunately, those who doctor shopped, take meds for fun and such have made it impossible for the true pain patient!
