Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 276) (Top voted first)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I'm truly sorry to hear about the pain you're having to cope with; but I think the information below can help you find the right doctor to assist you..

Listed below are a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:

You can give this other site a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they prescribe the type of medication you are seeking to manage your pain. You may also have to ask if they are accepting new patients, but the vast majority of them usually are.

DON'T GIVE ME THAT - YOU'RE IN PAIN AND CAN'T LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT IT BECAUSE YOU ARE HOOKED ON SYNTHETIC NARTOCITS. YOU ARE ASKING DOCTORS TO PRESCRIBE YOU SOME REAL STRONG S***. BUT I AM NO ANGEL EITHER. I HAVE BEEN TAKING 3 NORCOS A DAY FOR PAST 5 YEARS. I AM ALSO IN THE SAME BOAT. HOWEVER, WHAT YOU ARE TAKING IS WAY WAY WAY STRONGER.

He sounds like a great guy. My doc today tried to tell me when I asked to switch my methadone to hydromorphone that 2mg of dilaudid is equal to 10mg of methadone. Which is BULLS***!!!! I know more than this dude knows. So 8mg of dilaudid would be equal to 40mg of methadone. He is high or something because that's the worst equi-analgesic conversion I've ever heard. But I think I am DEFINITELY going to try your doc. This one tried to push me into not taking xanax because "people abuse it". I'm like no duh man all these drugs are abused!!!!! Hi, if you have degenerated disk dieas. I have news for you, it never , ever will heal, go away, it will get worse with time. I get injections, they can help from anywhere from a couple months, to a year. The first time I had it done it didn't help. I had the injections again, so now, knock on wood it helps me to be pain fre for many months. I have a feeling what you just told everyone isn't the complete truth. Be honest, I don't judge anyone.
