Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 233)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I have a brain tumor and my neurologist does not believe in narcotics to treat the pain, he offered naproxen which does not work at all. My PCP gave me Percocet 10/325 and I take them 3x a day, but I really need them at least 4 I think. My PCP does not do pain management so he refrred me to a pain management doctor and I'm afraid that he will not give me what works for me. I don't feel "high" from the medication, I just don't hurt. Some days I can barely get out of bed, and I would like to explore other options for medication because I am afraid taking so much tylenol each month will hurt me. I used to take Darvocet years ago and it worked very well for me, but that's not on the market anymore. I don't mind driving, or paying a lot of money, I just want to see a doctor who will listen to me and not make me feel bad about myself.

DR. may shut down he was the doc, hook u up with 240 every month, he was located in wheat ridge which is the same exact town they film that show "gun smoke" in, the office was across from a Home Depot off i470 & if they're back in business well don't give a dirty u/A although I know tricks to pass but he's expensive, but cool, I bounced out of denver back in December 2012 & they were getting investigated, but would fly out from CALI to see him and get my script filled, you will have to call around up there, to find a place to fill them, DONT GO TO THE COSTCO IN BROOMFIELD ! They almost ripped mine up, Costco on Platte River Parkway in Littleton usually has them that IS ONLY IF THEY OPENED UP SHOP AGAIN

I hope all goes well 4 you and dr ryan's office told me n dr ryan told me they talked with theresa n dr ryan said I wld be fine...wel it wasnt fine n she didnt even no why I was on pain meds but im nt sayin she wil do u tha same way im just tellin u wat happen 2 me so good luck and let me know..wat time u go see her tommorrow

I see her tommrow and yes I'm freaked out .Before I even made this appt I called them and told them my story and the gal told me I'll have no problem getting my meds .Than I read your post and I'm freaked out .Why is it hard to find a doctor that see legit people on medicade that believes in pills ?

Thanks yea dr ryan wrote my scripts from september-march then tha dr that took over for him so im gonna call kaiser and find out wat I need 2 do 2 get bck wit my old dr.

Rainbow, You should be able to switch if he was your Dr before! I'd just make sure he's still doing "pain management" and try to find out why he left! It's not "Dr shopping" if the same Dr writes the script! Where folks get in trouble is when they have multiple Dr's write scripts that aren't from the same practice or when they get multiple scripts that overlap the scripts they currently have! You shouldn't have any issues!

Wendy call karl at rhe rocky mt Strasburg clinic he takes medicaid have u seen theresa yet?? Or if ur scared 2 go cuz of how she did me cancel tha appt with Theresa n make it wit him just bring all ur paperwk

Janeygirl im goin 2 try tha numbers u listed and thanks for your help im just waitin 2 see if kaiser wil except me being on medicaid and since dr ryan was my dr for 9months and he took a new PA job at kaiser they say I have a 99% chance of bein able 2 see him dr ryan has called me just 2 see how I was so I told him wat the replacement dr said n did and he told me 2 call kaiser n also help me out as much as he cld with gettin me on at kaiser its just im scared of seein a new dr and dnt want 2 help me just like the replacement dr its hard bein on pain meds and havin 2 start al over...I just hope I can get in kaiser but if nt I wil use ur list and let u no wats happens. Tha only good this is dr ryan gave me enough refills for a month and im stil good on meds rite now but thanks again

I can't believe docs are doing this crap. Come on people if you have any pain management places please list them on here for the others. But what I have been hearing hardly anyone is taking Medicaid or other insurances in pain management which is ridiculous. I hope you guys find someone soon.

Rainbow, I'm so sorry to hear that Theresa is like that and did that to you! I haven't seen shaw, I actually changed my appt w/ him to Theresa for next week cause I have medicaid and the office said if I have medicaid I should be seeing Theresa. But damn if she cut you down I am SCREWED! Cause I'm on a lot stronger and more med than you! Now I'm freaking out.
*ANYONE!, I NEED TO FIND A PAIN CLINIC OR PAIN MGT DOC ASAP!!! And not CPR. I need to find a place, I'm so scared. Been on pain met program for 10 years. And rainbow, Ryan went to kaiser, a place where you have to have Kaiser insurance in order to see a kaiser doc. Sorry. What are you planning on doing within rocky Mt that you were talking about? And if theresa didn't give u your meds, I don't think u have to worry about seeing another doc and trying to get what you need and usually get.
ANYONE, PLEASE HELP!!! NEED PAIN CLINIC OR PAIN MGT DOC (NOT CPR) ASAP!!!
