Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 230)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Also, I just realized that once a post is reviewed, it is not posted at the time it was approved, it is posted at the time it was submitted.
So, now I have to go back two or three pages at least once a day to read the posts that had to be reviewed first.
Is there anyway to find out when a post has been approved w/o reading old pages?

Listen I have a close friend at CPR.... They are working on getting someone in fast but they are willing to let you go some where else until they fix things... They are god people and I love them. Believe me they are working on us all. It's hard be it will be ok.

The patient that caused all of this was a crack head patient that got busted dirty and went and told lies on doctor frisbee I love him he help me so much and believes in helping his patients but why go in dirty they know it takes 72 hours for street drug to be out of your body so with that said why do it just make another appointment if you don't want busted. Really don't do street drugs and this wouldn't happen and they ruin it for us good patients.

Wow ....I had no idea he upped his start fee to $500.that is a lot of money! I'm really sorry. I'd be panicking by now as well. And I'm have no other quick options. Please let us know how you fare.

I thought that CPR was looking for another doc.,they know the severity of this issue. A poster mentioned doing a pool to see when CPR would be calling patients back, I don't think that would be rude. It's sad because the Dea seems to have to harass some Dr., scaring the ish out of other Dr.s. A very good MD that is a friend, lost his license because they had to fill their quota, crack down on somebody, the media has this whole opioid thing hyped up.

I hope you all are able to first get your meds, secondly get an understanding of what just happened. This is off of the subject. Does anyone know of a chiropractor that accepts Medicare in Aurora /Denver area? TIA

The story I am reading about the cpr doc doesn't make a lot of sense, there is more going on then what you are being told, before the board pulls yr license, there must be a great deal of evidence against you. One patient failing a ua couldn't make up that good of a story unless the dr was so negligent the patient died. Not only that, but it's a long process!

Randy in Co springs, you are correct when you say that doctors can't write for pain meds and things like Valium or any benzo type drugs due to the fact that the two together really suppress your breathing!

If you are a current cancer patient and have had surgery, cancer in yr bones etc, yr oncologist is allowed to write yr pain scripts and should do so willingly!

Most urgent care docs won't write a script for pain meds due to drug seeking patients unfortunately.

If anyone lives near a hot springs, I higly recommend that for pain, wonderful for relieving stress as well. Don't know if you all are taking an antidepressant as well with yr pain meds but that can help as well although you have to find the right one for your brain chemistry.

Unfortunately, I think we are all going to have to learn to live with a lot more pain due to the dea, Feds and the people who abuse pain meds. Some blame rests with the pharm companies for pushing heavy pain meds for back strains etc and docs who wrote scripts to keep patients happy and gave patients enough meds to cause addiction.
While you can become physically addicted to pain meds, I don't think any of us get addicted to them for the high, I believe that if you are really in pain, you are just grateful to be pain free!

Let's all plan to meet one day in October for lunch , maybe so place near the bus?
