Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 155)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

No more s dnt worry it wnt be I was just helping and if u read my reply I said idk if they are acceptin pain managment ppl I did post sayin they were so its nt a big issuse even if they arent they can still go 2 them for pcp or ask them 4 help with referrals to other places

Rainbow... I agree with you! Even if the S's can't help with pm, they are great people and can be an excellent resource... Mr. S is probably one of the kindest, most compassionate people I've ever met. You were very clear saying that they may not be able to accept a pm patient... Don't worry. Hugs!!

Not sure what the hub bub is about! Rainbow, u were very clear! I also need to take responsibility as I didn't realize who u were talking about or wouldn't have asked!
I do have to say, I agree with Grandpa Pat! We do all need to write and thank u for that reminder! Many of us have already written but it doesn't hurt to do again!

Mnt girl thanks hugs 2 u 2 and were have u been? U havent been on for awhile everything ok? Mr s is he is also veey understanding and listens very well and does watever he can 4 his paientd and treats us wit the most upscaled respect like we are ppl nt like a druggie u have been treat horrible un the past by sum drs but nt by the S' s ever

Rainbow... I was getting ready for and then had surgery a week ago... An si joint fusion. I think it may have worked, but I have to be on crutches for 6 weeks and no weight on my left foot... And THEN we'll know... Ha. I'm not very big, but good lord, crutching all the time is tiring!!! Plus, my right leg is sometimes like "DONE!".
I wanted to you all know that I had an email address for Wendy and I emailed but heard nothing. I also found a phone number and I'm going to call tomorrow. I'm really worried that we haven't heard from her.

Thx for your reply. It's the 1rst pm clInic I've been to so I'm not sure how they're usually ran. I like the ppl too but I still feel like something's not right. I dont like the way its ran. I feel like they should offer more services such as inj., pt, massage, alt treatments other than just meds. Don't get me wrong, i couldnt go wo them but how am i supposed to lower my dosage otherwise? And now that Glazer (I worry she might leave & I'll go where she goes lol) is doing the suboxone pts only, I have been seeing the pa, I don't feel like he listens to me. I also noticed & corrected it for them they didn't even have but half my conditions on the sheet & in the computer! So they dont even know what all they're treating me for. No wonder he doesnt listen to me. The previous Dr who was only there a few visits thought they were only treating me for fibromyalgia. That's the least of it. Plus my primary, who referred me said he didn't even know I got into 1 cuz they haven't sent him any records. That was in March...I've been going since June. Grrr....I might as well just give Amanda my money & she can hand me my rxs. Thats how i feel. know they have to deal with alot of crazy pts such as myself & I'm sure pts lie but I have caught Amanda in several lies. Ex. She told me noone was in until mon. But I went to the office anyway since a friend of mine also goes there & told me she's lying & I'll be if everyone wasn't there!! Hmmm, I didn't confront her on any of them cuz well it's hard to find a place. And maybe it's just me cuz things that dont normally happen to ppl seem to always happen to me so perhaps its just that. I don't understand WHY we can't be prescribed a wk of extra meds. I was very I'll & missed an appt which was resch for a wk later. So withdrawal AGAIN which I should be used to by now but I don't think I ever will be. I did mention this to the pa, he told me when that happens to call & they'll prescribe klonopin to help with the withdrawal. I'm sorry but to me that's f'd up. We shouldn't have to be in withdrawal. Yes, I know it was my fault since I was sick but it was out of my control & things do come up in everyones life where they may not be able to make it. So I think giving us an extra wk of meds isn't really asking for too much. I did take the DNA diagnostics thing where it shows how you metabolize meds & which ones etc, cuz I figure if they do try to implement that 120mg/day across the board. ...I'll have proof that that won't work for me. I truly believe if they do change it to that, there are going to be waaaay more suicides.

God! I feel your pain! I've had similar issues with getting sick and all u do is get sicker! U might ask for some tramadol! It does seem to help some and it's horrible to get sick on top of being sick! Hector is actually brilliant and u r right, it takes some time to warm up to him! I don't think Dr Glazer is going anywhere! She has some issues herself and this type of work seems for her! As far as other therapies, they did used to have a physical therapist but no one used her, so they were paying her for nothing! Most of us have been through so much therapy that we didn't want to spend the time, however, they will write a script for any type of therapies that do help u! If u r unsure of what would work, bring it up! They r both educated on all the treatments available and will help u select something that could b helpful! Everyone is different so different things work well for different people! But ASK! They r happy to help u out with this! My history was pretty screwed up until Dr Glazer came along! They really had no history of what I've been through in the past twenty years until she came along! Having been to many a clinic, either for myself or a client, they pretty much run about the same! Some do push pt since they r connected with one, another pushes interventional therapies but when it comes down to it, they r pretty much alike! What matters is u feel u can connect with who is treating u! Give Hector a chance, he pretty much got thrown in the mix quick! He's actually the "doc" on the local Hispanic channel and is pretty amazing! He diagnosed an issue I've had since birth that no one has been able to figure out! Hang in there!

Rainbow, I sure do remember that hub bub! I had a brain fart and didn't put the name to the folks! U had such a tough time and finally got hooked up with some good folks! U can actually hear it on your internet voice!
Scott. I listed a bunch of names probably a page or so back! CPR in Wheatridge is probably going to b the closest to u! Colorado Pain Relief! Also Colorado Rehab did have an office over that way but I honestly haven't been in touch with them for quite some time! Try those guys and if u have problems give us a yell back and we'll give u some other names!
Hope all r tolerating these crazy weather changes! It's been making me nuts! And if anyone hears from Mac or Wendy please let us know!

I am really, really sad to let you all know that Micah passed away sometime around November 23rd. I found his Facebook page and there are tons of messages for him. I don't know what happened. Saying a prayer for Micah and his family. Love to you all.

For those of you that don't know Micah was Mac's real name. So sad to hear this news. This could be why we haven't heard from Wendy..I'm sure she is as shocked as all of us.

Mtngrl I looked up Micah's FB page and the last thing posted was birthday info from August of 2014. I cannot find condolence info anywhere on his page.

Rainbow... Yes. We exchanged info and became friends on FB... But we weren't friends very long before he passed... I thought he just didn't post much and didn't think anything of it. Apparently he had heart issues besides his other health problems... And just didn't wake up one morning. As for Wendy, I've emailed to two addresses I have for her and called the growery... But the number isn't taking incoming calls. :(

I don't want to post his personal info on this site... But do you remember Fuzzy? She and I both became his friends on FB and had exchanges with him early on.
