Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 62) (Top voted first)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

Hey NepKing pills are not your answer, theres a reason why your doctor cut you meds off, if your really dealing with pain and you really want your pain to be solved like your trying to say then why don't you just get the shots that the pain management clinic if offering. It would help you and you wouldn't be depended on pills. I just don't get how you could just say no to that when in reality it would help you. Stop worrying so much about getting ur 30s when you should be worrying about physical therapy and getting ur pain resolved. Or your a junkie, and trust me just because you have injuries doesn't mean your not a junkie and its a major sign to other doctors when you say no to something that will help you. But just because its not oxycodone 30 mg you don't want any part of it. Get help and I mean real help.

Dude you have no clue whatsoever. It makes more sense that I come on here and offer a reward for any information on her so I can try to get back what she stole and she changes her phone number and disappears for 3 months and suddenly claims I robbed HER? You are either her friend or retarded.

I had a motorcycle accident and I have 6 disc dislocated. I was getting 180 30mm oxy but my doctors decided not to give it to me no more 'cause of whats going on . I never abused the drugs and they were helping me enormously to deal with the horrible back pain i get. Im trying to get a new doc in Philly or Jersey. Does anybody can recommend me a Doc. in any of these two places? I appreciate it.

I don't know how to register on here and I'm trying to email someone in regards to a sympathetic pain doctor in Philly. I have Crohns with 4 resections of the bowel. Just moved to the Philly area and need a doctor badly as the PCP docs are terrified of writing my meds so I'll be in hell in about a week from withdrawal. I can't very well drive 12hrs to my old pain Dr but trust me I've been thinking about it. How can one be a doctor and prescribe pain meds and another take the same oath as to help people yet sit back and let ppl go thru misery because they are so afraid of losing their license when all it takes is a contract and responsibility to cut someone off if they mess up. You've got to at least give a patient a chance first. Sorry, I'm just venting as this all makes me so angry. Doctors doctors doctors... Seriously, I would commit suicide ifiI had to go thru this pain without help since I cannot take OTC pain meds with Crohns Disease, this is bs.

I know how you feel. I have pain from my Lupus Daily an my doctors don't want me on anything. They feel I'm hurting myself more by taking them. This pain is unbearable.

hi rc my name is audrey i have ms,and alot other debilitating disorders,due to fatally mva i was in,i was hit at impact of 180,and i broke my pelvis x 4 places,i was in hosp for20 days,non weight baring for four months,quack tht was my doc,when i was released never gave me pt,at all,n i didnt know better,anyway after 10 yrs later hard pregnancy,strated getting wrse,took ansaids n bulls*** for years,they did noth but damage my gut,im having hardxw i****s im wth now,im using my ins so they can do what thy wantto me,n its medicare n caid because im disabled ,got ms,bad nerve muscle damage,n many surgeries artritis issevere my whole body from impact,my friend nxt to mewas killed instantly ,lady was doing 90 n applied no breaks hot us lft braoadside jst tlling u cause mst peop thnk im nuts,anyway i saw ur post im realy hving hrd time in,life every area i have no close friends now dueto moving alot,n most familt r deceased,its only me and my two dogs my babys who get me threw life,im in bad pain,id appreciate it if u,cld give me your imfo i hve some goood names here in nj,but i cnt go to them,due to my x abusive only child my son,has ruined tht for me,but i learned my lesson,i been homeless for 4 mnths fnd arm thnk god,im in motel rght now,i know my doc has given me,my last two weeks of meds ,n im in hell,inevery area of my life,i cnt srvive no more,do it all myself move,etc,no help,i appreciate if you cld help me,god bless you {edited for privacy}

I went to Dr. Miller on the advice of my attorney for spinal injections. He would not prescribe any pain medication. I just had a cortisone shot from him which so far has not worked and I am in so much pain that it wakes me up at night. I am tired of these a**hole doctors thinking everyone is a junkie.
