Doctors Who Prescribe Oxycontin In Oklahoma (Page 11)

I have been in Pain management since 2004 in California and just Moved out there to muskogee Oklahoma... unfortunately there are NO doctors here willing to treat my pain i was on a regiment of 80mg Oxycontin 2X daily 10/325mg Norcos every 4 hours and 4mg IV dilaudid as needed for breakthrough pain... i am in search of a doctor out this way who is actualluy willing to perscribe these meds... thanks

I also need one , I'm in Tulsa and the only thing they want to do is give me the injection and I don't know why I can't get no other help I got spinal stenosis ,throughout my spine 3 herniated disc ,already had to back surgeries, my spine has shifted 12 millimeters forward ,my L4 is sitting on my L5 and grinding down of course with the pressure, if you find one please let me know

Xanax works great but is so highly addictive it is almost like opium and 10 times worse than Oxy's or hydrocodone... Be very, very careful with xanax, especially 2mg bars.

They are all,about the $$$ mainly car wrecks......and they will leave you to deal with the withdrawals in a New York second.......stay away there are better pain Drs in OKC. I was in hospital for a week, was rx'd oxy 30's, filled the Rx. Went for my monthly checkup and they said they saw Rx from hospital, dropped me right there, nothing to ease me off the oxy I had been prescribed from them for 2 years, just said deal with it.........

Look into Roland ok. WELLNESS center
There is a methadone clinic or a pain mgmt. Clinic. Expensive and controversial but might be helpful for some of you ;)

I am a home health nurse in Muskogee. There is only one pain management clinic as of last week. Look up Tulsa Pain Management in Muskogee. They will need your records from California. They will make a decision on your being a patient after they review your records. I know of no doctor writing Oxycontin anymore. Muskogee is the town in Oklahoma with the most overdoses so it's likely you would have to go to another city to get the pain meds you are used to being on. Tulsa has several clinics and OU Medical School has a clinic. I wish you success.

Hi Paul, I am in the same circumstance, and wondered if you've found a doctor yet? Or is there anyone out there that could recommend a PM doctor anywhere in the city (or surrounding)? I've been managed for 32 years, however my doctor retired and I'm in desperate pain and need a new doctor. Please help and recommend on!

Yes, I know of a Dr. in Norman who is exactly what you're talking about. Up and left, never showed up half the time, but was great!! Just left everyone up in the air and in bad shape... Sucks!!!

Cannot find a Dr. in OKC to prescribe soma at all. Mind telling me where and the name of the Dr.? I was in a bad car wreck, have torn up muscles and nerves in my neck & soma is the only thing that helped ever.

I also have a very bad cough keeping me up all night and have tried numerous prescription cough syrups, but nothing helps like the Tussionex I used yrs ago. Does anyone know of Dr. or clinic in the Oklahoma City area willing to write a 1 time prescription plus probably antibiotics? Don't want to waste time and money. PLEASE, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

They act weird cause mixing benzos n opiates is baddd!!! Cause opioid addicts like myself ruin it and od by combing the 2, so as long as ur not an addict with a history on file u shud be able to find a dr somewhere... Good luck. I know this post is hella old.

It's sad for people in pain like me. Opioid addicts abused pain pills usually before illicit drugs and now with the opioid epidemic they usually do overdose and die. You can always take more but you cant take it back once you dose, and if people wouldn't be so greedy on taking more n more and just maintained, fewer people would die and return not messing it up for people in real pain. Sorry but if u cant find a dr u can always get on methadone. It's a strong pain reliever. It sucks at first going to a clinic 6 days a week, but do good n get ur take homes n they up ur dose fast. My clinic did 10 mgs every other day til u get to a decent stable dose. Methadone is stronger than like percocets n stuff. It's up there with oxys. I know some who was prescribed methadone pills for pain and on top of the norcos for break thru pain cause methadone is long-acting.
