Doctors Who Prescribe Methadone Maintenance

Anyone know of private practice doc So. Florida prescribe methadone maintenance?

No, regular doctors are not allowed to prescribe Methadone for any type of addiction treatment, including maintenance therapy.

For such usage, it can only be given in a clinical setting by someone that is specially trained to provide such treatment with it.

Dr Milne of Ft. Lauderdale will prescribe for chronic severe pain if you have records to back you up.

I need to find a doctor in Grand Forks North Dakota that prescribed some type of MAT. I relocated from Florida and have been prescribed Subutex for both maintenance and pain management. I cannot take short acting opiates. The buprenorphine has been exceptionally effective in managing severe lumbar and Sciatica pain. I've been sober and clean from alcohol and all illicit and illegal drugs for more than 6 years and have never abused the Subutex. I've tapered my dose from 8 mg bid to 8 mg once a day. I am going to try, starting tomorrow to go to 4 mg per day, as I only have 11 sublingual tablets left. I've tapered myself to 0 mg once before and the withdrawal was severe and lasted almost a month. Any suggestions for something to help with the withdrawal, if there are no doctors in Grand Forks that prescribe Subutex, Suboxone or Methadone ? Please respond.
