Hello,
Listed below are a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:

You can give this other site a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:

Unfortunately, you can never know whether someone will write you a prescription or not just because they wrote it for someone else. "Legit" doctors will write a prescription on a case by case basis, depending on whether or not you (the patient) truly needs a specific medication. Due to the high level of drug abuse going on today, they don't just write a prescription of Methadone for anyone who walks into their office. Talk to them and tell them your story, and be honest, clear, and concise and you will get what you need in most cases.
Alternatively, you can have your primary care doctor refer you to a new pain management doctor or clinic.

Dr. Frank McNeil, whose office used to be in the Bearden section of Knoxville, but has now moved to another area of Knoxville, will write Methadone. I was a patient there for almost 5 years and was on methadone the entire time. I hope this helps.

Dr. Frank retired Dec. of 2013. Bearden Healthcare is still open under the management of Dr. Richard Aballay.The amount of pain relievers that they give is not worth going to get.

I went to this same doc fit help and because dr McNeil got me so messed up that Morristown doc Just assumed I was a pill seeker and threw me out when I wouldn't have major surgery....

I have been taking methadone for 3, almost 4 years. I recently had to stop going due to the costs of gas and the medication. The drive was an hour and a half one way. It became to much to handle anymore. I desperately need to find a doctor in middle TN (around Murfreesboro) who can and will write me a prescription for methadone. If anyone knows any docs who can write a methadone rx, will you please let me know or get back to me as soon as you can.
