Doctors In New York Or New Jersey That Prescribe Roxicodone 30mg (Page 30) (Top voted first)

hello so heres my question i am looking for a new pain management doctor in either the 5 borrows or in new jersey that prescribe roxycodone/oxycodone 30mg i currently have a doctor in staten island who was prescribing me 45 roxys bi weekly then uped me to 60 30mg roxys bi weekly now he has me coming in every week and lowered me to 20mg oxycodone 30 a week i told him this is not enough for me but he dosent listen to anything anybody says also i have a job and work 5 days a week he wants me to come in every friday but i cant because of work but when i tell him i cant come in every week because i have work let me come on a day i have off im going to loose my job he ignores me and just says its ok just come next week like im just some jerk off i also told him the 20s are not enough its not working im still in pain again he ignores me and says its ok just come in next week this guy does care he wants me to come in every week cause hes banking my insurance out with these weekly visits i never heard of any doctors prescibing this medication weekly or bi weekly almost every doctor does monthly visits... so what i need is a new doctor that is willing to prescribe me 30mg roxys and thats not going to judge me or just try to give me some other type of medication because i litterley have tryed every pain meds known to man and this is the only thing that acually works. i was in a bad car accident in 2008 and i have a slipped disk 3 buldging disks and a herniated disk in my lower back and with my job im on my feet all day long so my pain has got so much worse since then i cant stand longer then 2 hours at a time because mt whole back just starts locking up and the pain is there for hours even when i take my meds it takes a while to go away it sucks.. so another problem of me finding a new doc is because i am only 22 and most doctors are not willing to prescribe someone my age this medication so i need a doctor that will give me what i need without judgement and without trying to give me non narcotic pain meds or very low dose pain meds because there not going to workand i dont even want to waste my time and my insurances money. i am willing to travel to any of the 5 borrows, long island and even jersey as long as i can get a monthly script ill even do bi weekly but i cant do this with my current doctor i have an appointment friday and i dont feel like loosing a half day of work for 30 20mg oxys thats going to be finished in 3 days its not even worth it anymore i tryed talking to my doctor but dont listen to s*** that i say and it gets me really annoyed so please if anybody can help me with a new doc you dont know how much that would help thank you very very much any answers are greatly appreciated..thanks

Hi Lisa-

Since your post was from a while ago I was wondering if you are still seeing Dr. Feygin. I have a back injury and was on oxycodone for over a year and then switched to suboxone which has wreaked havoc on my body, just doesn't agree with me. I am planning on detoxing in a few months, but since suboxone is so greatly interfering with my health and functionality have been advised to switch back to a short-acting opiate for the meantime. The doctor I see now only wants to give me fentanyl, which I am not comfortable with since I've never taken it before. I am very familiar with oxycodone so would much rather go back on that than start an entirely new medication. I really would like to find a doctor that will be sympathetic to my situation and actually listen instead of blindly directing me based on a personal bias. It is a pretty pressing situation so am really hoping to get everything figured out in the next week or so. Do you think Dr. Feygin would be the right person to see for this? Would I need to bring my medical records or is that not necessary? Any insight you could give would be great.

I checked out that dr in Sparta n he wouldn't accept me because I didn't go through my pcph. Anyway I also checked out that first dr pizza guy mentioned and he's not accepting new patients. I'm in nyc have titanium foot, arthritis, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, along with herniated and bulging discs. I had Dr Jacobson from LI until he got closed. My PCP has been doing all he can with Norco, fentanyl, and Xanax but he knows the pain is killing me and will refer me anywhere. I came up with NYU and saw a great surgeon who explained everything to me and that included I did the physical therapy 5 years ago and the inj's. would be useless in my situation. He was honest and said he felt surgery was too risky because I'm 39 and my back is shot and referred me to a pain management in his building but they didn't take my insurance so the office manager thought she was doing me a favor and got me into another PMC a few blocks away but still NYU. I saw dr.Doan and she was a joke. Went through the whole scenario with her but she couldn't even keep up with my problems and at the end asks me for the MRI. I got a bit tight because the surgeon just had another one done in conjunction with the one my PCP had done. I am certain it was in the computer but being a good Chinese Dr she recommended physical therapy, some possible inj's., and let's not forget the s*** where they stick a thousand needles in you. She closed by saying my PCP seemed to be doing good and decided to throw some Lyrica in there for good measure. It is really sad when we know more than the dr. and what kills me is both my PCP and surgeon know I'm twisted but tell me I need pain management. However, the DEA who catches a junkie that played a good doctor who cares and is trying to help people gets the scumbag to set the doctor up not thinking or caring for the 500 patients who so desperately need these medications to live a half normal life free of a few hours of that never forgiving pain. I don't know what I will do if I can't get back to my regular meds of Opana and roxycodone. My liver is screaming from the Norco and the fentanyl just helps the first day to get the pain to a manageable ache. If anyone knows of a PM doc or clinic who is in nyc and writes I am begging you to help me out. I can't even run my consignment business anymore {edited for privacy}. I can only pray.

Hey everyone, so I just moved up to Northern New Jersey, Morristown to be exact. But I moved from Atlantic City N.J. I have 3 torn ligaments' and a fractured bone all in my right ankle. Now I have my MRI and my pharmacy record showing that I have been on oxycodine 30mg 4 times a day for pain. I am really tired of having to travel the 3 hour drive back down to Atlantic City to see my 'Pain Medicine/Pain Management doctor' every month! Any chance does anyone know of a doctor that I can goto in Northern New Jersey or New York that will keep me on my medicine that I have taken for the past 6 and half years. I am 29 and I take my oxycodine because it takes away the pain enough that I can get through my daily routine which is work. I have gone a month and half now with out taking any pain medicine and my ankle is absolutely throbbing thru out the day and when I get off work and now it has started to effect my work due to the pain. I need to find a legit doctor that wont give me crap and see from my MRI and my Pharmacy record that the medicine I was taking was working the best for my pain. If anyone could help me with a doctor I would greatly appreciate it! I am also a self pay, my health insurance doesn't kick in for another 6 months. I am able to get to any doctors in Northern New jersey, Morristown/Summit area, or New York! If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. And I'm not sure if I am better off going to a regular family doctor like a ( D.O or a M.D ). I am willing to tell someone that can help me with a doc, and let you know of a Pain Doctor in P.A that writes for whatever your pharmacy record is!
