Doctor Who Prescribes Methadone

my doctor retired and was writing a prescription for methadone. Im looking for a new doc who will do the same.

If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of pain, you'll need to see a specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year.

What is your general location? That information would make it easier for someone recommend a good doctor in your area.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Try finding out who his or her patients were referred to from the office. That's going to be hard, I'm surprised he didn't let you know he was leaving. I wouldn't definitely be calling that office to find out where the other patients went, I'm sure you weren't the only one getting that sort of medication. If that doesn't work there are other steps you can take to get your medication.
