Doctor For Adderall

I'm trying to find a doctor or therapist in my area who can help me with my symptoms for adderall diagnoses. I am located in Greenville, Alabama 36037, a mother of four kids and really need someone to help.

Adderall is not a diagnosis, it is a medication. The FDA classifies it as a stimulant that is used to treat conditions, such as ADHD, narcolepsy and shift-work sleep disorder, thus for it to be appropriate, a doctor would need to diagnose you with one of those conditions.

It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, weight loss and anorexia.

Since it is a controlled substance, you aren't going to be able to just call around to doctors and ask them to diagnose you with one of these issues and prescribe it. They will view that as being drug seeking behavior. You'll need to set up an appointment with a psychiatrist, go to the appoint, then discuss your possible diagnosis and treatment options.

Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area?

My current primary care physician says she no longer feels comfortable prescribing me my adderall. Seeing Anne-Marie Reed at Camelback Health Care. She would rather I see a psychiatrist.

Can anyone recommend a Dr in Phoenix AZ that might not have an issue with this? I have files that go back years. Was on it as a kid, stopped as a young adult but noticed I was having trouble again paying attention at work and getting my work done without it.

Any help would be appreciated.
