Do Oral Contraceptives Work After 8 Days?

So, I started my menstrual cycle on Friday, January 1st, on the same day I took the first contraceptive pill in the pack. My period lasted about 5 days which was on Tuesday Jan. 5th. I'm kind of scared to be intimate with my boyfriend without a condom knowing I've been on the pill for about a week. Has the pill started working properly since I've taken it for 8 days? Or should I just wait until I have finished the pack? I'm new to this birth control method. I remember to take my pill everyday in the morning but I sometimes take it at different times. I usually take them right when I wake up around 5:30 or I'll take it a bit later around 8 o'clock. Today, Jan. 8th I took my pill at 1:15 pm. Is this okay or no? Also, since I've started the pill, I have gotten a little more acne than usual.

Hi.i am 24 years old. My period date starting on 3th September. Please send ,one month stop period, medicine name.
As long as you started taking the active pills on the first day of your period, you are immediately protected against pregnancy, since they will be able to prevent ovulation this month.
You generally have a window of about 12 hours, before it would be considered a late pill, so your timing is fine.
Acne can be a side effect, while your body is adjusting to the hormones, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.
Is there anything else I can help with?
