Do I Need An Increase In Levothyroxine? I Feel So Distressed More Often Than Not.

Been on Levothyroxine 3 months at 50mg. My levels showed 35...is this high? I don't feel any better and often feel worse. Are the mood swings of sudden extreme anger and crying all a symptom of Hypothyroidism? The moods are so bad. I did try antidepressants but they made no difference and often made me feel worse. Now I have good days and bad days. Do I need an increase in Levothyroxine?

More than likely you do need an increase in dose but only a Dr via TSH test can tell you for sure as taking more without a Dr prescription can lead to very serious health issues

Thank you for your response. I returned to the doctors who said my levels had returned to normal after being on 50 mg of thyroid treatment for 3 months, Originally when I was diagnosed they were at 35. However I feel as if I am back at square one regards how I feel. I am more moody, depressed, tired bloated and generally feel very down. My periods stopped completely on the thyroid pills, but I have noticed that this week I have a slight period and my moods are horrific. Does this mean my levels have altered again and i need more thyroid medication?
