Actually, doctors are not as well educated about the finer points of medications as pharmacists, so if you want accurate answers your pharmacist is your best bet.

Not to belabor our point your doctor will always be your first point of reference.:

1) he or she has your medical records in front of them. a pharmacist does not.

2) To say doctors are not as well educated about the finer points of medications as pharmacists, is highly incorrect. and if you feel your doctor is not up to par fine another.
Drugs work differently or should I say interacts with each individuals differently Diovan being a blood pressure medication to lower blood pressure and needs to be monitor as long term effects can result in kinnedy failure.
Diovan is a maintance drug.
I do believe that we should educate ourselves on our own situations which enables us to ask those questions for further understanding.
