There is no 20mg Dilaudid available in the U.S. There is a 24mg and a 32mg in the time released formulation, but the regular release tablets are only available in 2, 4 and 8mg. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
what is the limit a dr can prescribe 8 mg hydromorphone to a patient ## Hello, Tim! How are you? Unless a patient has a condition that is possibly terminal, such as stage 4 cancer, then the DEA recommends they restrict it to the equivalent of no more than 120mgs of Morphine a day, which would 30mgs of Hydromorphone. If a doctor were going by that, they'd most likely stick with prescribing 3 a day, of the regular release, to be taken every 8 hours, so a supply of 90 tablets for a month. However, some states, such as New York, have further limited that recommendation to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine a day, which would be 25mgs of Hydromorphone, in this case, that would still be 3 tablets daily. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has t...
Do all dilaudid pills have a number imprint on them? These mysterious pills that im trying to find out what they are keep showing up as dilaudid. All the images they show have a number imprint, but these dont. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? Yes, all legal U.S. approved prescription tablets would have an imprint on them. It is required by law to enable their identification, in case of emergency. If they have no imprint, then they are most likely an over the counter product, of some type. Though, there is also a small chance that they would be a foreign medication. The FDA classifies Dilaudid as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What do they look like? ## They are a ...
What are the risk factors associated with the drug combination of 4mg Dilaudid and 0.5mg Klonopin? ## Hi Nikki, According to umm.edu, there are drug interactions between Dilaudid (hydromorphone) and Klonopin (clonazepam). These precautions state that taking the two together may cause side effects such as breathing problems (i.e. feeling short of breath) as well as pale blue nails/skin that may require immediate medical attention. They go on to note that if you are planning on taking both medications at once, your doctor may alter the dosage and/or frequency of use in order to lessen your risk for such side effects. However it's also important tell your doctor about any other drugs you are taking (such as methamphetamine) in order to rule out any other possible risk factors *god forb...
I'm on Dilaudid 8mg and fentynal 75 mcg/hr every 72 hr, and I still experience Severe pain! I was wondering I'd there was suggestions on what I should ask the Dr, I don't want to seem like I'm drug seeking but what other medication do you think could help me? ## How often do you take the Dilaudid? There is a higher dose of the Fentanyl available, that you may be able to try. However, it leaves you nowhere to go, since it is the highest available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I take the Dilaudid every 4-6hr ## Im sure you found an answer by now but in case you didn't.......li just started with the fentanyl patch 50 mcl ( and ju...
I have chronic migraines & fibromyalgia and I have been in so much pain for the last 12 months that I'm in the ER, then sometimes my Dr. will admit me for pain mgmt for a few days, but I just left the hospital in Illinois that I always go to and now they are refusing to give me any narcotics anymore! Now does that mean that even if my Dr. admits me through his office to the hospital I won't be able to get something like dilaudid? Or would I be able to go to another hospital for the dilaudid? My Dr. Is ok with putting me in for a day or so cuz he knows how much pain I'm in!! This is unfair! What do I do? Help please!! ## Hello, Laura! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've had. Husband has late stage Parkinson's and has chronic pain issues . Takes dilaudid. Prescribed 6times daily. Sometimes he needs more. He is 78 years old and I just want him comfortable the time he has left. I m his wife. I m 55. CVS after years of our business won't.fill his script 7 days early. What are my options? Its not that I'm some young woman seeking out drugs. ## monitor his pill intake better. there is not a pharmacy around that will do refills in 7 days earliest is 3 day .. too many attempts to refill early you will get reported as either a supplier or seeker and most places turn you in to the local police and get you pulled off meds for seeking is usually the suspicion.. Sorry with meds because of these kids these days there is no upside.. ## Hello, Mary! How are you...
Can you take dilaudid when wearing a butran patch ## Hello, Chuck! How are you? Butrans doesn't contain the opiate blocker Naloxone, but other opiates may not have much effect, because Buprenorphine tends to cling much stronger than they do to your opiate receptors. Has your doctor prescribed the Dilaudid for you? The FDA classifies this medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

There are actually several issues that have arisen this year, which have caused the problems on the east coast. One of them is due to the fact that pharmacies weren't abiding by the guidelines restricting how much of any controlled substance they can order in and keep in stock each month. The DEA has cracked down to make t...

My neck is in excruciating pain, my back is bad but definitely secondary. At the hospital they gave me morphine and sent me home with 12hrs of dilaudid. that actually works!!! IF YOU HAVE AN 80MG DILAUDID SCORED ROUND TABLET, HOW WOULD U KNOW IF IT CAN BE TAKEN INTRAVENOUSLY ? ## Well first, the tablet with the marking 54 425 contains only 8mgs of Hydromorphone, that active ingredient in Dilaudid, which is the maximum dosage available for the regular release tablets, the extended release goes up to 12mgs. And second, trying to break down any tablet and inject it isn't safe. This should only be done with medications that have been specially formulated as injectable liquids. I want to know do u have a pictures and information about Roxy 30m M boxes ## Hello, Rara! How are you? No, I do not have any information on a white tablet with this marking. There is a light blue one and a purple one, but nothing white. Where was it found/obtained? ## Sounds more like dilaudid. Check into it, but that's what it sounds like.
I was taken off of Dilaudid 2Mg every 3 hrs to oxycontin 5 Mg every 6 hrs. I was in pain and I never experienced withdrawals, but I did this time. I called the Dr. right away. The Phar. gave my wonderful PM alot of crap, but I finally got back.on the Dilaudid in two days. ## Hello, Linda! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you had. That wasn't a proper conversion, it would take 5.33mgs of Oxycodone to be equivalent to each 2mgs of the Dilaudid you were taking. Thus, you'd need 40mgs of spread throughout the day to provide the same analgesic effect and prevent withdrawals. I'm glad you were able to get back on the one that works for you. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may ca...

JUST MOVED HERE TO LAS VEGAS, WHAT A WASTE. MOVING BACK TO DENVER CO WHERE YOU ARE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN AND THE DR'S WORK WITH YOU AS A PATIENT NOT A MORIAN. THIS FDA HAS TO GO. IT HARMS MORE PEOPLE THEN IT HELPS. SINCE WHEN DOES A PHARM. OVERRIDE A DR'S ADVICE??? COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL!!!! ## Hello, Willyboy! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. However, the most recent changes weren't made by the FDA, but by the DEA, which handles the regulation of controlled substances and they apply throughout the U.S., not just in Nevada. The FDA classifies Dilaudid as a narcotic...
