Dilaudid,fentanyl

My wife has really bad nausea. I would like to know if it is from the Dilaudid or Fentanyl or both. She is on 125 mcg/h Fentanyl per 72 hours and 4-8mg Dilaudid per day.

I have a three year battle with severe abdominal pain which all started due to internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst. I have been on all sorts of pain medications. Currently I am on Fentanyl 100mg patchs and Dilaudid 4 mg. They used to work great but now it seems like only the IV dilaudid will give me any relief. I constantly have to go to the ER for pain management and I hate going due to the fact that I live in a small town which and the some doctors think that all I want is pain medication.there is such a big stigma about being on pain meds.has there been anything eles that anyone could recomend I am really desperate and need advice. My doctor now wants to but me on prestique and I don't know what to do.

I have had 7 back procedures due to 5 herniated disks. The procedures wear off and I go back to pills. Norco 10 and or dilaudid. The dilaudid makes me sick so I take an additional pill to rectify that called zofran. I will say that these Meds are easy to drop once I get my procedure I take one less everyday until there is one a day then go to one half pill then none. I stay away from oxy and fentanol. Due to extreme habit forming. Also the fentanol makes me itch sneeze etc. hope this helps.

In such cases, it is hard to say, since all opiates can cause nausea, as a side effect, along with dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. They also carry the risk of being habit forming.

How are you all doing, now? Has there been any change for any of you? Have you guys switched medications?
