Dilated Cardiomyopathy
UpdatedI have a son who was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and one of the drugs he was prescribed is bilocor 2.5mg. The doctor says to reduce the heart rate and to lessen the work that the heart has to do. Does it make sense? He has a vomit feeling in the mornings. Could it be a side effect of this drug?

Yes, that medication is one that is normally prescribed to treat such a condition and yes, that is also a normal side effect, according to the NIH. He may also experience headache, dizziness, and increased urination.
Is he on any other medications? Has he experienced any other symptoms?
