I have taken 300 mg daily for 30 years.Blood level run 3 days ago,Dilantin too high..Dr. Has dropped me to 200 mg a day for 1 month...how will this affect me? Presently I thought my synthroid was acting up because I was loopy,dizzy,trouble w/ balance etc .Leaving town for holiday and don't want to end up in ER...help!

Hello, Patti! How are you? Did you encounter any problems with the lowered dosage?
Usually, if the dose is just lowered then any issues are mitigated and should not be serious enough to land you in the ER. It is a full abrupt stop that would normally create problematic issues.
How high was your level?
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight gain.
