Difference In The Two Pills

My buddy takes vyvanse 30 mg in the morning and then he takes the d amphetamine salt combo 5 mg in the afternoon. What are the (main) differences in the two?

They are different medications, but are both stimulants that treat the same conditions, such as ADHD and narcolepsy.

Are these both prescribed for him? It's very unusual for a doctor to prescribe two different ones.

The FDA that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia and anorexia.
